Absolutely brilliant. We have been amazed by the information we now get daily. Because we failed to clip it properly one night, it fell off, but it was located exactly the next morning. Highly recommend.

THE best tracker for your cat. Great product, tracks well via GPS and radio if your cat has smuggled themselves indoors. Excellent customer service when you need it 😻

Fantastic product I always know where she is. They’re always on hand if there’s a problem. It’s a lot better than other products that I have tried

Given the price, I expected the GPS to be much more accurate than it is. Also, the times that my cat has come home without his collar and I have had to go and find the collar with the home base I also found this to be extremely slow in finding a new signal despite sometimes being very close to the collar. On a number of occasions I have walked right past or over the collar and not realised due to the delay in obtaining the radio signal. On one occasion, the collar was 200-300 meters up the street in a garden and thw GPS wouldnt pick it up despite having clear line of sight to the sky. I really cant rate this any higher than a 2 given the price.

Having tried a few trackers i think Pet tracer is the best by far. We literally had no idea where our cat was going, big shock! It does have it's limitations (we are in a built up area) but compared to others we've tied it is night and day and the app is very good too. Long delivery time but again, worth the wait. The little metal strap retainer on the collar is rubbish but that's a minor quibble. Dont be put off by the cost we we're at first but the piece of mind it has given us is more than worth it.

Not the cheapest but it does the job well. Our cat who is barely 1 years old does not seem to mind the collar and even comes to us to put it on before she leaves. What sets this collar apart from other GPS trackers is the Radio finder. She has slipped her collar a few times in the most difficult of spots, (river banks, brambles etc) but the we've always managed to find the collar with the RF feature. Once you have a locked on a signal you can activate a flashing light. GPS can be a blunt tool but combined with RF this collar is the best on the market.

Was hoping for so much more. Poor GPS signal means the cat could be anywhere within 400 metres. The setup & configuration is a mess & the instructions unintelligible. Support is patchy at best - merely pointing at the website help pages (which have been read!) & are pretty useless. Whenever the house WiFi drops I have to re-add the existing HomeStation - no optiuon to just reconnect to the WiFi! It also doesn't play nicely with Macs. Cannot recommend.

I have two rescue Maine Coons who had never been given access to outside before, so naturally I wanted to give them the best life they could have while keeping a close watch on them in their naivety. PetTracer has done exactly that. When one cat came home without his collar and the signal was lost, Zoe from PetTracer was in constant contact with me, advising where the collar was most likely lost, quickly answering all of my questions with an incredible degree of patience (I’m a *very* attentive cat owner/housemate!) and advising on, and quickly arranging, the replacement. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Yes it’s expensive, but it does so much more than other pet trackers. It works outside and indoors meaning that if your cat (like mine) likes to investigate any open shed/garage/greenhouse you’ll still be able to find them. There are lots of options out there, but I would recommend this one. All my thanks to Zoe!

PetTracer have been exceedingly helpful to me and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I bought a second collar to track my cat as he wanders widely and is always out. So far it has tracked him for at least 1km away from home, but the base station has to quite high up. Once he lost his collar in a thick hedge and I was able to locate it because of the LED light. An excellent feature, but it has to be as it is getting dark. The second collar proved to be faulty but it was speedily replaced with a new one at no cost to me. Overall the service has been excellent and courteous. Thank you PetTracer.

Customer service has been excellent, had excellent response time, answered all my questions, solved the situation, loads of patience, took me hours to get It set up,due to my own frustration of not getting it to work I sent item back, and received full refund, plus my cat wouldn't wear the collar, collar was 2 big for her and my cat will turn on you if I tried to put it near her,she refuses to wear 1,the collars I think are more for a big cat like a big feral male, the collar put me in mind of wonder women's head band ,bit to thick for my cat,and I found if the collar if indoors it won't pick up the cat ,the collar has to be outside, can't say about the range as cat wouldn't wear it,but all in I'd give it 4.7 stars ,only because of the shape of collar and I didn't like the band ,think I put the band on wrong,I prefer a break away clip as a whole collar,ty

At first this looked like a very good product. It was reassuring to know where our cat was and what his usual range/territory is. However, the base station has only ever tracked the collar for a maximum distance of 200 meters. To see where our cat had been beyond that we had to wait until the collar came back into range. The idea of being able to search for him if he became trapped was particularly reassuring. However, in practice it simply did not work. Our cat lost his collar but fortunately did make his own way home. Starting with the last gps location we started to walk out cat's entire territory using the search function. It was totally useless and failed to make contact with the lost collar. Very good job our cat made its own way home, had he been trapped/injured we would never have found him. Doesn't appear this product is all it's cracked up to be.

GPS collar is quite pricy but it does work. Customer service is OK, at least they reply to you enquiries.

I adopted a 2 year old Maine Coon who had never been allowed outside before. I had given her a slow introduction to the garden, on a harness, so she was familiar with "home" but naturally, on day one without the harness, she went over the fence into the neighbouring allotments! She was gone all day and well into the night. The tracker meant we were able to locate her hiding in a pile of pallets - not sure if she was stuck or just scared. Either way, we were very glad to be able to find her. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is the flashing blue light! I appreciate that it is a good indicator that everything is connected and working, but as I have to keep it on my bedroom windowsill for the best position for the garden, the blue flashing light keeps me awake and I'm sure it's not too pleasant for my neighbours either! As I currently keep the cats in overnight, I can the device off, but when they are allowed out at night I'll have to cover the blue LED.

For the moment the only thing I like is the collar shape of it. The response time is very slow, the accuracy is good but the signal is temperamental to say the least. The cat is right in front of me and the app shows no signal from the GPS or the collar, how can that be? The resolution of the map is not great and the frequency of the signals is too sparse. At this point if I could send it back I would

Hi Marianthi, Thank you for your review. We understand you love the collar and not happy with some things so will answer. The "response time is very slow". I assume you are referring to the GPS positions. You can change the mode and get a signal every few seconds if you want, most of the time a signal every few minutes is enough for normal day tracking and this can be changed on the fly when the cat is wearing the collar. The resolution has unfortunately nothing to do with petTracer as we use Google maps. Have you tried getting in touch with us about sending it back? Depending on how long you've used it we will help you out as much as possible. Best wishes

we are finding it difficult to use the 'Activate search mode' facility. Either we are doing it wrong or it is to complicated to use. Can you help please. Kind regards Mr. SJ Perry

I have used Petracer on my cat in both he UK and Australia. Once the GPS was setup the system worked very well . It was a bit difficult to setup but Petracergave valuable assistance by suggesting I went to the highest point in the house to arrange the GPS fixing. Regards Graham and Judith

The collar worked fine for the first month and then stopped working. No idea why. Can’t get it to work even after resetting. Really disappointed as it was so expensive I thought it would work. Also when the collar is indoors you need a portable power supply attached to the radio transmitter to be able to walk around to try and find the collar. Overall very expensive and I’m disappointed that it stopped working so soon after purchasing. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Hi Emma, Please email us to support@pettracer.com. Your collar might be faulty and we will be more than happy to fix it or replace it. In the extreme cases that you need to find a cat which in trapped indoors, locked garage, shed etc where there will be no GPS signal you will need a powerbank to be able to use the Radio technology and find your cat. This should not happen very often and it will help you where any other tracker will not. Please do email us we are happy to help you.

Not particularly happy with pet tracer. The collar is indeed light, but it’s pretty much useless for locating the pet. You know roughly where it was recently, but you can’t actually navigate to your pet. The best it does is tell you whether the signal is getting stronger or weaker. I regret buying a year’s subscription and am currently trying out a different location system.

Hi Nina, Thank you for your review. We are not sure why you would say that petTracer is "useless for locating the pet". It actually does that locate cats very well as you have pointed out. It will not however, when using the Radio option give you directions or place your cat on the map. It will tell you however if you are getting closer or further away from the collar. That is the extent of what Radio can do which has helped many customers to find their cat when they were trapped indoors and GPS was not working. Please note that when your cat is outdoors and there is GPS you will get a location in the map.
