“A very enjoyable afternoon in which Chef Jirapan explained and demonstrated the art of Thai cooking. Not only do you get a hands on experience but get to sample the feast you have cooked at the end of the course and walk away with the recipes. Would highly recommend.”

“My partner and I really enjoyed this experience. Both of us are relatively new to Thai cuisine and we felt like we learned a lot in the 3 hours that we had with Jirapan - she is very knowledgeable, kind and personable. She spent time encouraging us to taste test the ingredients throughout the process so we could appreciate the different flavours that make each dish special. In addition, she let us know what to look for when buying ingredients ourselves and where best to source them from. As for the food itself, everything was delicious. We experienced the street food A menu which we chose for the noodle dish, however our favourite was the beef stir fry which was incredible. After making the tasty dishes we sat down as a group to dine for lunch enjoying our efforts with a glass of wine. All leftovers were packaged up and taken home for lunch the next day. The house was beautifully presented and clean throughout. We would recommend this experience to anyone looking to broaden their knowledge of Thai cuisine.”

“My husband and I spent a fabulous morning learning Thai cooking the Thai way. I shall now be making my own Spring Rolls. Spicy Beef Salad and Drunken Noodles. The preparation was so well explained.... and we really were “ hands on “. The best part was of course eating what we had cooked !!!!!”

“This experience was a lovely way to spend a morning, I had always wanted to try my hand at Thai cooking but did not have the confidence to try. Jirapan put me at ease from the start, we were 6 in all total strangers but bonded immediately over a love of good food. We smelt, handled and learnt about the different ingredients before cooking began. This was done is easy step by step stages in which we all took part. Once the cooking was done we all lunched on our mornings work and it was delicious. I will be going again to learn some different recipes. We all came away with smiles on our faces and clutching our recipes to follow at home. I also brought a knife and a great gadget for use with cucumber! Thank you Jirapan for an amazing experience.”

“My husband and I attended a Paya Thai cookery class today and had a wonderful time. The class was really enjoyable and very well paced. We didn’t feel rushed and everything was explained so clearly - not just what to do, but also why. And great information about the ingredients and where to buy them. We learned how to make Penang curry, dim sum and pork ribs with honey and pineapple. And when we were done we sat down to eat our creations with our classmates. Everything was delicious and it was a lovely atmosphere. Now we are really looking forward to recreating them in our own home. I’m already thinking of booking another class to learn more dishes.”

“I went along with my son to a Paya Thai Cooking class and I thoroughly enjoyed It. It was a mine of information (cooking methods, ingredients etc...) and a lot of fun. Everything was explained very clearly, the dishes we made were delicious (and not too hot!) thanks to a wonderful chef in the most pleasant surroundings.I would go again and strongly recommend it.”

“I received the lesson with Jirapan as a Christmas present. My wife selflessly arranging for me to learn how to cook her favourite dishes from scratch. Happy in the kitchen but having never been to a class before I wasn’t sure what to expect. Jirapan welcomed me into her home along with 5 others, and talked us through the order of the day. We learned about the ingredients, prepared them (learning some new knifework along the way), cooked and then sat together and enjoyed our handiwork. I really enjoyed the experience, the food and the company. Very pleased also with the extra context that was added (how to pick good ingredients, the differences to look for on the labels, what will keep and what should be fresh, where to buy and how to adjust the flavours for different palettes). A thoroughly enjoyable day and a great new set of options to bring back to my kitchen.”

“This was given to me as a present. Jirapan provides a lovely warm welcome, to her clean, modern and well equipped kitchen. I have been to a cookery school before in Thailand. I really enjoyed the afternoon. The ingredients and menu are authentic Thai. Instruction easy for a beginner to follow. I learnt some new dishes to cook for friends, and had a great meal at the end.”
