I've order courier, but unfortunately he didn't showed up on the date they promised. He came the next day. No email, no any information about collection. I had to email and ask when can I expect courier 🤷

Message from Parcel Direct: Your order is due for collection on: 09-10-2020 Collections take place between 9am and 5.30pm But my parcel was never collected? And no email from Parcel Direct as to why.

Very friendly, good-natured driver, with the only problem being that he was a day later than we had been informed. Humans make mistakes, I know, and that's fine, but this is the reason for the three star review instead of five stars.

Parcels promptly picked up in Dublin and arrived on time in Australia, however one parcel had been totally repackaged in a large flimsy cardboard box somewhere between the pick up of the goods in Dublin and arrival in Australia. When this repackaged box was opened, items were found to be free floating around the box and some items were broken. Follow-up was poor and despite numerous enquiries we have had no response from the Fed Ex insurance claim after 8 months. Paying for insurance appears to be a waste of money. Not sure whether the ultimate responsibility lays with ParcelDirect.ie or the shipper FedEx, however once your goods are shipped, it appears that the fait of your goods are at the mercy of the gods! .

Hi Ailish, Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your shipment and what happened with the repackaging. Sometimes the customs in certain countries will open packages to inspect them, which we have no control over. They should have repacked them with the care they deserved, but unfortunately in this instance they did not do this. I am very sorry about this. I would definitely use this company again. My parcel was picked up on Friday of the bank holiday weekend and arrived in Vancouver the following Wednesday. Superb service.

Reasonable prices, too long a collection window of 9-5 for pick up of the parcel, should be able to offer a better window of time...

Very helpful staff over the phone, they did everything they could to help & were very professional. The website however was misleading as one of the drop off points I went to was no longer accepting packages from parceldirect. This was an inconvenience as I was carrying a parcel with a considerable amount of weight. When going to an alternate drop off location, the shop owner/manager was not very helpful at all. They refused to take the package without a print out of the confirmation number which I had a picture of & refused to hold the heavy package while I went to print out the requested confirmation page. Thankfully a printing service was close by. When I returned with the confirmation page he tried to make another fuss about not printing off the right page without a bar code but accepted the package with a less than satisfied look & took contact details as he said he doubted the courier would take the package with the confirmation page I provided from the website. I then contacted parceldirect by phone and again they were very helpful stating that the confirmation page had been updated and didn't include a barcode. They updated the dropoff location for the courier and provided us with a tracking number for the package. In summary, your customer service reps 5 stars, website 3 stars, drop off location reps 0.5 star.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are very sorry about that confusion with our website, the original store you chose had only just withdrawn from our services when you placed your order so they had not been removed from our site yet, they have now been removed. Unfortunately, some stores are still getting a bit confused about our labels as they used to be barcodes and then we changed them in the past few weeks. We have loads of stores around Ireland and we are currently working on calling each one to update them with the new process. They cannot accept parcels without this label even though you had a picture of the code, but the label means that any of the store workers are able to see this parcel and immediately see how long it has been in the store when they look at their device. This is why the store rep was weary of taking this parcel but we are happy he did take it in the end. We do apologise sincerely about the hassle with this, we are working very hard to ensure our stores are up to date. Parcel collected no issues. Going to UK.... taking over a week and still not out of delivery yet.

Had to phone to get them to collect as the day I ask for no one came but when they did it, was great and arrived in time to where Ihad sent it wll use again

Communication with the company was good, though after waiting in all day long for the parcel to be collected, they never arrived. I received an email at 9.30pm apologising for the non collection, but at this stage i had wasted a whole day waiting in for nothing. I had paid on Wed evening for collection Friday and even with advance booking they never turned up. When i contacted them by email earlier in the day they responded straight away explaining that the drivers were very busy and that my parcel should be collected before 5.30pm, but as I previously stated it never was. Well i contacted them again a few times over the weekend and on Sun I was informed that they would get onto it 1st thing, but it wasn't till midday Mon that I received a call saying they would defiantly collect the parcel before 1pm, they didn't. They did eventually pick it up on Mon afternoon, and even after all the mishap they did manage to get the parcel delivered on the day it needed to be there by, which i suppose is acceptable.

I want to thank and give every compliment to the owner of Katie’s Newsagents in Mallow Who helped me all the way with getting this parcel sent. It wouldn’t have happened without his great help but I hope I will be able to complete the transaction myself the next time.
