Took part payment through PayPal which I didn't know had happened but kept asking for full ammount of £180. Eventually found out via PayPal that £132 had already gone out. On my PAC control panel it still said I owed £180 so I pressed pay now to see what happened and selected PayPal as method of payment. PayPal said £48 so I clicked continue. I really need a less expensive package as I don't use what I have very much anymore.

Thanks for the feedback — and sorry for the confusion around the PayPal payment. That definitely shouldn’t have been unclear, and we appreciate you flagging it. We’ll take a look at how that shows in the control panel to help avoid this happening again. When I first went with PAC a year or so ago, I was highly impressed. They dealt with the swap-overs for me and did everything. However, the last three times I have bought domains and wanted to upload the sites, I have run into trouble. The account details are different, and something has to be done at their end to facilitate the upload. ALL THREE times it didn't work, and I cannot get the assistants to grasp a very simple problem. Each time they come back with gobbledygook which is bizarre. If I understood it then I wouldn't be having the trouble - I would be able to resolve it myself. They forget (every time!!!) that they deal with this protocol stuff, we don't. It's incredibly annoying being bombarded with 'what you must do is...' and then reading something that could have come out of a Chinese tech book on quantum mechanics. If this continues, then I will have to leave, as they have lost touch. Added to that, they used to have a Chat service which has disappeared. We all know Chat services are incredibly slow and poor, but theirs was very good...was. I reviewed my latest experience with them, but they never even replied. Somewhere, as they perhaps have got bigger, they have lost it.

It mainly works smoothly. When things go wrong, they generally seem to know what is wrong and respond to correct things quickly. However it is a very impersonal service and despite being with them many years, I don't feel I know the people at all. I would like to know who is my account manager and what is his/her phone number.

I have taken a look over things and I am afraid for the products you have with us you would not have an account manager and they have never at anytime had one. However that said we are a friendly bunch so if you have a question that may not be a technical fault and you would like some advice or a chat we will always have a chat with you and offer advice where we can. Pricing was somewhat misleading: domain turned out to not be free for first year; only till my existing registration period was used up. However, the pricing as it is is still very good compared to almost any other registrar and though it seemed, because of my confusion over pricing, that the domain might not have been working between it expiring and me making the outstanding payment for the next year, as soon as I did make the payment my site was accessible at the domain right away. So things seem to be satisfactorily cleaned up now and I know what I need to do next year.

Hi Jordan, Sorry to hear there was some confusion regarding your domain we provide a free domain registration with all hosting packages paid annually but when just transferring in domains without hosting then we do not offer free domains this way. Sometimes slow to respond and technical helpers sometimes struggle with the English language . Still good though but not a five !

Hi David, thanks for your feedback it's appreciated, our technical support department works 24/7 with a 1 hour response time however some other departments do not work to this SLA and are business hours only also so you may experience longer times for a response when tickets are in these departments.
