About Nibble & Gnaw:

Everyone involved in Nibble & Gnaw is a pet owner. And we all want the same thing: our pets to be happy and healthy. That’s our mission. It's the reason we founded the business.

We all know that diet is the most important thing for keeping small animals happy and healthy, and that forage should make up about 90% of their diet.

One day, whilst complaining about the poor quality of hay being sold, one of our friends said: "You know the hay I take into the Middle East for their thorough-breds? What about bringing that in to the UK for rabbits and guinea pigs?"

And that's how Nibble & Gnaw got started!

“Hay arrived in great time and we received a good tester quantity of both cuts for the cost. The hay was fresh and well packaged. Caliga definitely favoured the second cut hay, but quite happily devoured both.”

“Just got our second box of hay delivered. Our Guineas love it! And so much easier to have it delivered straight to the door. You can change around how often you have it delivered which is great. Delivery comes within two days of shipping confirmation. Would recommend 10/10 to anyone with small animals”

“I have been buying Nibble & Gnaw second cut for over a year now and it’s always been great quality. However my most recent boxes of second cut have been really poor quality with lots of brown hay. My bunnies won’t touch this and most of it is being thrown away. Very disappointed ☹️”

“My 2 house bunnies love Nibble and Gnaw hay and I just received the new Hay and Herb box and they can't get enough of the Marigolds I give it to them in the morning with their hay and I actually have to stop Biscuit my young male trying to climb into the bag .If my Rabbits are happy then so am I”

“I have been buying Timothy Hay second cut here for many years for my bunny Yoshi. It’s always very high quality and deliveries are always super fast. They added dry flowers to their range not too long ago and we have them too, my bunny loves them. All and all my search for perfect hay and the start of my journey of being a bunny mom was long and frustrating, nothing looked or smelled right. But then I found you guys and it was the best thing ever when I got my first box. Just a thank you for doing an amazing job.”

“I ordered the try me box of 1st & 2nd cut hay. The first cut was ok but the second cut was full of brown so went in their litter trays. Not happy. I contacted them and all I got was 'we will pass it on'. No mention of a replacement bag so my guinea pigs could try it. customer service = nil. UPDATED REVIEW: After my wife left the above review we were contacted and offered a replacement and a refund because there should not be any brown bits in the hay at all. The replacement box of 1st and 2nd cut hay arrived a few days later. Upon opening the box the contents looked exactly the same as the original box; 1st cut was fine, and our guinea pigs love it. The 2nd cut has loads of brown bits in it. So we are left to believe that this is what all the 2nd cut hay would be like and we won't be ordering any more of it. We've revised the stars left to now show 3 stars instead of the original 2 because an effort was made to rectify the situation with a refund and a replacement. We also added a couple of photos of the replacement 2nd cut hay.”

“Ordered the mixed box to try & let my bunnies decide which one they liked best. The 1st cut looked very green & not much wasted at all but the 2nd cut alot of it was brown dead strands so they left a majority of that & that just became bedding hay. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the bag of 2nd cut so if I ordered again it would have to be the 1st cut.”
