About Nibble & Gnaw:

Everyone involved in Nibble & Gnaw is a pet owner. And we all want the same thing: our pets to be happy and healthy. That’s our mission. It's the reason we founded the business.

We all know that diet is the most important thing for keeping small animals happy and healthy, and that forage should make up about 90% of their diet.

One day, whilst complaining about the poor quality of hay being sold, one of our friends said: "You know the hay I take into the Middle East for their thorough-breds? What about bringing that in to the UK for rabbits and guinea pigs?"

And that's how Nibble & Gnaw got started!

“Starting using this website for my bunny’s hay as she wasn’t eating her previous brand. She absolutely loves this hay, I order the best of both 1st and 2nd cut as she likes a variety. I have also purchased the dandelions which she also loves. Would recommend this brand of hay to anyone who has a bunny or Guinea pig. I have a subscription set up which works really well and easy to amend the length between deliveries which I had to do recently. Overall, a brilliant brand of hay and I will continue to use :)”

“Amazing customer support. Any questions have been answered quickly and fully. Above and beyond! My Guinea Pigs won’t eat any other hay and, even though they are grumpy things, they popcorn most mornings when they smell the hay. We have the second cut. I must admit that they do filter out the thicker pieces. Can’t fault the quality of the green hay that is without mountains of dust and bits at the bottom like others. We tried a lower price one but worked out more expensive as it didn’t get eaten! Easy to alter the next delivery when on a subscription as the email comes through to say that you are near the next delivery. It’s just a click in a link to delay or bring the date forward - no messing!”

“When my bunny started getting out of the baby phase, she just didn’t want the cheap hay any more. A friend told me about nibble & gnaw. & we haven’t looked back since! She absolutely loves it & wont eat anything else. Only thing I’d say is oof this hay is pricey!”

“Gorgeous hay-fresh and superior quality. Came well packaged and promptly. Would definitely recommend trying their Try-me bags particularly if you’re struggling to find a replacement for the elusive Alfalfa king brand. This is a great alternative and far more reliable to get hold of!”

“I have bought 2nd cut Timothy from Nibble & Gnaw many times now and am always satisfied. My Guinea pigs love the hay and the parcels have always been packed well and arrived on time. I recommend buying more hay than you think you need to have some in hand. Excellent service.”

“I've been sing Nibble & Gnaw for over 4 years now and I cannot rate them highly enough. All my indoor freerange guinea pigs love the first cut Timothy Hay because it smells deleicious when it's unpacked and has loads of crunchy stalks and fluffy heads for them to munch on.... nothing nicer than the sweet sound of 4 guinea princesses munching on Timothy Hay! I must also praise the customer service that Nibble & Gnaw offer, whenever I've had a problem which has been only twice using 4 years, they ales happy to help and find the best way to resolve any issues. Special mention to Elaine, Stephen and Alan here! I also love he way that they offer a Reward Scheme which means with each months subscription I earn points that I can use to deduct of further purchases. Nibble & Gnaw really is the best quality and value for month Timothy Hay that I've purchased since having indoor freerange Guinea Pigs.”

“Our bunnies love their Nibble & Gnaw hay. We adopted them and there were issues with gut stasis, however since being fed Nibble & Gnaw hay they are both doing really well. They love their hay.”

“From the moment our first subscription order arrived we knew we would never look back. Gone are the days of hay being thrown everywhere and being used as a litter tray, Luna eats all of her hay. It lasts so much longer than any we have bought in the petshop and works out way more cost effective. She approves of both first and second cuts. We love that this is a small local business and that the packaging is plastic free and biodegradable (the cat loves the box). We also love all of the herbs and use a mixture of all every night to turn her evening nuggets into a forage bowl. Love it all and looking forward to seeing what Nibble and Gnaw has in store for us next!”
