The application was easy enough, but the AI standard rejection letter had identical wording to many others, and I wonder if my application was viewed at all by a pair of eyes. I simply do not meet the goal posts of the "ATS" - Applicant Tracking System, the software you use to manage the hiring process. I faced this crazy logic back in 2001, when I returned to University, I attempted to move my part time job from Bridgwater in Somerset, to Portsmouth in Hampshier and had to re-take a telephone survey before I could get a application number from Kingfisher. I failed, supprising since I was the top kitchen designer in the South-west region, and had 6 years experiance, being used to train new employees in new store builds. Needless to say, I did not continue at B&Q. I assume your AI system is a bit more sophisticated these days, but in looking for candidates to inspire and work with creativity, how many truly gifted applications is your software preventing your HR department from reading? I dont wamt to go on your talent pool, because I foresee a cohort of teachers who will know where to buy lesson plans from, but not be able to adapt or modify for individual schools, and that will be a dreadful set of work colleuges.

It was horrible. Not a good application system. The forms are not user friendly and the questions are convoluted and would barely pass a basic English exam. The whole thing seems to have been designed by a foreign tech person and not checked for usability by ‘normal’ applicants. How can I recommend another way to apply when an applicant is railroaded into using this mess? My New Term WILL NOT result in finding good teaching professionals only those that can meander through forms.

Very helpful having vacancies in one spot and doesn't take to long to apply for a position once you have registered.

I like the fact that my information is saved on the website, making new applications so much easiser to complater - But, I would say that I did not like getting my job application news through the website.

The application process for a zero hour or part time job is the same as that for careers such as teaching or even head teacher jobs. I believe that this is totally unnecessary and puts people off from applying. For instance pensioners being told that they must provide certificates of examinations taken in the 1970s. Simplify the process for low level jobs, whilst ensuring safeguarding standards are maintained.

I had an issue with the copy paste function at profile section. Later realised I had to delete first then add. I have not heard back from my application yet or received any updates

I love the ease of applying for jobs through MyNewTerm however I do question how much schools actually use them as two of my applications through here haven't been looked at by the school until wayyy after the closing date (one of them still hasn't been looked at now!)

I would have preferred if the school could have given me feedback on why I wasn't selected. Its a rather faceless platform albeit convenient for saving détails.

It’s fine (as are a million and one other job sites out there!), but the fact that any school would use this to screen internal candidates is beyond me. As an internal, you’ve already been through the process to get the job at the school, there needs to be a separate way for internal applicants.

Completing the form took a long while for me as so much information was needed as I have had quite a few different jobs. I did eventually complete it but it was very lengthy.

I used it for a couple of applications. It was good to have my information saved. It was awkward that I had to log in to access messages. I had to do a couple of things twice as I had misread how to do things. Through working on a small screen, I was unclear about my options when I was sent an interview date that I could not make. It was annoying that some things had to be done through the website and not by directly messaging schools. Having used both, I preferred the quick apply/ mycv thing on tes.com
