“For the second year I took my Skoda Octavia estate in for its MoT test. There was a misalignment on one headlight which was corrected gratis but the car failed the emission test. I was told to use a propriety additive in a quarter tank of diesel and drive on the motorway to give the engine a workout and bring it back in for a retest. I will do this asap and fingers crossed for a good result. I could easily have been told it needed replacement sensors or catalytic converter or whatever. So the advice was very honest and appreciated.
