I used this Centre for an emergency clutch replacement of my 5 year old Audi and I wish I had never gone there. The very next time I took the car out after the repair there was a coolant leak and I had to replace the coolant liquid every 20 mins while driving back home. The only reason I went to the centre was because it was cheaper quote and was Mr Clutch but I later found that Mr clutch garages are independent garages that only uses the name of Mr Clutch unlike Halfords and so beware that they don't really guarantee quality, which makes me very nervous about getting more work done there. I will be taking my car to Halfords and if they find the cause of the leak was error in putting parts back while replacing the clutch I will take legal action against Mr Clutch. I was told by the Leyton garage after inspection that the fault is not related to the clutch replacement and explained the clutch and pump is on either side of the vehicle and pressured me into paying for it. I told them I am taking the car and having it inspected by Halfords. Right after I took the car back, I got an email from customer support saying that the pump is on the rear of the engine and they could have damaged it by dropping the engine and so they would like to take a look at it to fix it. I told them I already took my car back home and I would never be comfortable taking the car back to Leyton as I do not trust them at all. I was assured that it will be a different person from head office looking at it and they will come to my place where the car is to pick it up and so I cancelled the Halfords appointment. Today morning they called me again asking me to take the car back to Leyton which I refused. I would rather take it to Halfords and make sure I take legal advice for the situation. They are nothing but deceptive people, please don’t go there. They also asked me to remove the review on Trustpilot. Please don’t make the mistake I made and don’t go because the quote is cheaper, you will waste more money and time later.

Handbrake adjusters mechanism job, charged £80 an hour labour for 1.5 hours plus parts plus vat total £174. Challenged price, stupid tech, replies bought parts, bought parts, somehow tricked me, presumed head office word sort, cliff / Chris Russell / Brussell sprout, turned out to be biggest Pratt ever, told him so on email, copied in NCS, RMIF, police, trading standards, scammers online, anyone & everyone, Chris / cliff would ignore or come out with bogus stupid reply, backing stupid Tech, justifying £80 per hour labour charge. Considering ccj / gov UK money claim, however have as last resort copied Kent police into emails, in case they could resolve, or go round and beat him with a stick / zapper, Chris / cliff must learn he is not above the law, nobody is, we have standards in modern day society, if we don't respect them, whether it be deliberate or mistake by tech & bogus CRM Brussel sprout further takes the ****, the Police should deal with the matter harshly & swiftly, I know they have the capability & are doing injustice to more parties then one, all the emails! So I just want a part refund really, so when the other branch of the same garage in the same city quote £50, forwarded quoted to Chris / cliff, it was like a bee up his bonnet, he soon replied to that one! However not satisfactorily. £80 per hour labour charge, is that, right, do they have a range of prices to charge from?

COMPLETE RIP OFF AND SCAM! Don't use. Following a routine service, staff agreed to run a FREE engine diagnostic if a certain fault persisted. Post service, the fault light remained and I rang up and confirmed, that the issue could be checked again for free, as it was soon after the service. This was agreed and the car booked in. On collecting the car, I was charged again for diagnostic and labour. When I mentioned it was agreed that it would be looked at for free, this is quickly denied and dismissed. Hugely disappointing with terrible service. I will be telling everyone to avoid this garage.

Out of more than 40 MOTs I have done in my life, this was by far the worst service, courtesy of the rude staff. We arrived just on time today, Bristol Fishponds brand. The chap who took my car was extremely rude, spoke in a raised tone, refused to close the window I forgot to close and slammed my car door on me. Oh, and of course he got into the car in a dirty work clothes, without placing any protection on the seat. Quite cheap but you get what you pay for. You have been warned.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Booked my car online for MOT a whole week in advance, yet I turn up to find about 500 cars ahead of me...in various stages of being repaired...so much so that I can't even find a parking space right outside their premises. Joke. Took my car for MOT 18/2/2021. Called 5 times that day & asked for a price to fix MOT failures. Was assured a price would be given to me. This was never done. Called again on 19/2/2021 (again I had to call) - was told headlight levelling switch was not working but they don't know why...so are you mechanics or not?? You don't have access to electrical diagnostic equipment like every other garage does to find the cause? Don't understand? sorry. Was told on phone they were getting an "Auto Electrician to diagnose fault..." This was never done. Further 3 days pass with no contact at all. It's now 22/02/2021 - I message Mr Clutch Head Office and ask what's going on. Absolutely nothing was done over 5 days with my car in their care. Even simpler tasks like fixing: "Offside Front Upper Anti-Rollbar joint dust cover" was not even attempted...Seriously is that a joke??? I would avoid at all costs. Absolute joke!

Mr Clutch in Maidenhead is a disgrace. The manger who is called Dan is a total disrespected man/boy. He doesn’t have a clue on how to do customer service or treat his staff. He has no clue on how to work on a vehicle. They break cars. The place is a mess no Covid protection. Do not take you car there.

Took my car for repair in September. In December the part stopped working. Another garage said it was a cheap part. Mr Clurch blamed leaves build up (we do not park are car near any leaves). Bring down again January same reason & other garage confirmed faulty part. Mr Clutch took it in again then blamed leaves build up & charged us another £40. I will never use these again & lesson learnt as why they are so cheap on repairs !

believe they cause deliberate damage to car to create more work I took the car for MOT in this garage. It’s 6 yr old BMW X5, which had been serviced by bmw 2 months ago. The car was in prefect working condition, I was told to leave the car and come back in an hour. When I came back they told me seat belt retractor is not retracting and failed mot. This was perfectly working when I left the car. When I look at it, it had been pulled out to end and stuck and won’t got back. The guy on reception won’t give me any details on how it’s broken. Just that he knows his mechanic and he won’t do things like that. Most garage typically will create a video when I they do mot test. These guy gave me nothing and just told me to either get it looked at by them and or take it somewhere else.

These guys could do with some training on customer service and it would seem the manager doesn't care. My vehicle was booked in for a service, mot, plus a cam belt change and new water pump, so a decent sized job and was advised to get there for 8.30am to allow them time to get everything done. I arrived before 8.30 and saw 3 mechanics enter the building and thought due to the amount of work to be done that I could drop the key off early and be on my way. After knocking on the door the shutter was opened and I was met with a very rude mechanic who flatly refused to take the key and actually closed the shutter door in my face whilst I was still trying to talk to him, great customer service! I received no phone call from the manager to enquire why the vehicle wasn't there or to apologise for the way I was treated. Head office was contacted and they apparently looked into it, but a week later it sounds like they actually have done nothing. Use them if you want but I would suggest trying one of the other local garages who appreciate your trade.

I used Swindon branch for some time for small jobs until mechanic severely damaged my newly refurbished shock absorber whilst fitting causing damage to the seals. Component failed instantly. Head of Customer Service denies responsibility acusing me of supplying faulty part. Beware!!! My car blue Mercedes E350 was booked to Swindon branch on 20/08/2020. My initials are LR. I do have an invoice which will be provided on request of reviews.co.uk Please, be serious Mr Clutch!!!

I've posted a 3* rating simply because I believe that a -5 wouldn't get posted. I would say AVOID Mr. Clutch and here's my experience with them at the Southampton branch. I rang and made an appointment to have the clutch changed on my Chrysler Voyager, I was told they could do the job on a Wednesday and they would need the car for one day. This is a normal working day for me so I had to arrange to take a day off from work which didn't sit too well with my employer, anyway I arrived at the centre at around 8 a.m. and waited for the shop to open. I assume it was the shop manager who arrived first and he approached me sat in my car, in his best English ( I'm assuming he was possibly Polish) he tells me there is a problem for my car and that he cannot fix it as the parts from China have not arrived and not available for 3 weeks. I asked why he didn't phone to tell me this the evening before, he replied that he did not know the parts would not arrive, so I questioned how did he know the parts weren't here as he hadn't yet opened the shop, he said he knew before, so back to my first question " so why didn't you ring me then?" he then became agitated and began ranting about not being able to get gloves or anything else because it was all coming from China and was late because of Covid-19. Ok, I thought to myself, I'll just have to wait 3 weeks then, so I ask if he can order a clutch and fit it when it arrives in 3 weeks time, no this is not possible he replied. With that I left thinking I may have dodged a bullet anyway, I really didn't expect my car to be fitted with an inferior Chinese made clutch anyway which would probably not last very long. So I'm not sorry I didn't get anything done, I'm raging that there was no communication and that I lost a day's work unnecessarily, and I wouldn't recommend Mr. Clutch to anyone unless you're happy to have inferior quality parts fitted and accept shoddy service
