“I found the whole process from initial quote contact with Kevin to final completion excellent. The communication from everyone at LDC throughout was excellent. I contacted three companies to get a quote and settled on LDC because the price was reasonable for the composite decking and what we had in mind was taken on board designwise. The finished decking looks excellent and everyone on site was excellent. I would certainly use LDC again if we needed anything else doing in the garden.”

It took several days longer than expected, but the finish and workmanship are excellent. A huge thanks to Raphael and the chaps. They were very easy to have around. “This project took over twice as long as promised to complete. Many boards needed replacing along the way as they were splitting, possibly because of incorrect drilling by the first team (who were replaced), but also there seemed a lack of knowledge about how the wood I had chosen - ipe - would behave. It was a long and fairly difficult process but we eventually got there and I paid in full. Very shortly after finishing the project it emerged I had a pipe leak. A separate contractor had to take up various parts of the new decking to locate the leak. They found that someone had hit the pipe and then tried to effect a "repair" with the plastic bags that the posts had come in, wrapping that in a bin liner and then pouring concrete over it. London Decking admitted liability and agreed to pay the repair costs. I had to chase for 4 months and eventually threaten to sue before my contractor was paid.”

“I have had large 20 year old raised decking replaced by the London Decking Company. The result is excellent. The team of two were a delight to have around for the two weeks they took to demolish and remove the old decking and build the new decking and stairs. “All LDC operatives were helpful, tidy and considerate and took time to go over the detailed aspects of the job, consulting us over decisions and keeping us informed during the works. Once our old timber decking was taken up, we discovered rot in our existing flat roof and had to pause the decking works for about three weeks until our roofing contractor could rectify this. LDC were able to accommodate this delay and once roofing works were complete, were quick to return to site and carry on with the new decking. The team worked every day in all weathers and arrived promptly each morning. They took photographs of the work at different stages to inform the project manager and maintain quality control. Carpets and floor finishes were protected with clear plastic and everything was cleared and left clean at the end of the job. We would have no hesitation in recommending LDC.”

“They did a really good job of installing our composite decking. They put down a very substantial wooden frame (much better than the one they replaced) and protected it with waterproof tape. Onto this was laid composite boards which look really good and have a 20 year guarantee. All the rubbish and old decking was removed and they left everything clean and tidy. I would recommend them for the installation of decking, particularly composite decking as there aren't so many companies who do composite.”
