“Kev and Joe from LMF installed all the electrical components to do with the Solar PV Installation. It was very obvious to tell that they take every step of the installation very seriously. The tidiness of the installation exceeded my expectations. The external cable runs are all protected in conduit and secured very neatly to the exterior of my property. The conduit protects the cable from the inverter which is located in my attic all the way through to my distribution board which is located on the ground floor. The inverter is located in my attic and the solar panels are connected to it via small diameter cables. The inverter itself is mounted on a large piece of MDF board. The associated switchgear is mounted either side of the inverter. The switchgear isolators enable me to isolate various parts of the PV installation with ease. I can disconnect the PV panels on my roof should they require any maintenance and I can also safely disconnect the Inverter from the house mains supply should the inverter require any servicing. Kev and Joe also installed an energy meter close to my distribution board downstairs. A separate mains isolator is also installed here as well, so i can easily disconnect the inverter from the incoming mains supply should maintenance at this point ever be required. This meter measures the amount of energy the solar panels are producing at any one time. The meter is similar to a standard electricity meter and measures its input in Kilo-watt hours Kw/h. I have smart meters installed and my electricity meter displays how much energy i am exporting back to the grid for other users to utilise. My smart meter has an arrow on it that clearly displays if I am importing electricity from the grid (hence purchasing electricity) or if I am exporting electricity back to the grid (hence selling any unused energy back to the grid and making a small profit in doing so). Taking advantage of the Governments “Smart Energy Export Guarantee” (SEG). This solar Tariff is relatively new and is replacing the older “Feed in Tariff (FIT) that most of the older PV installations probably signed up to. The installation is fully labelled up and detailed operating instructions included allow for you to study and read all about the capabilities. Kev and Joe are perfectionists and this is clearly demonstrated with literally how neat and tidy the installation is. From connecting the string cables from the solar panels to the inverter all the way through to connecting everything up to the main incoming supply source. I am looking forward to selecting an energy company to partner with so i can take full advantage of the SEG Tariff and sell any unused energy back to the national grid, The professional installation looks its part and I am very happy with the finished installation and would not hesitate in recommending LMF services to anyone looking at getting PV Solar Panel’s installed at their property.
