We are so glad we did as we are delighted with our new kitchen. From our first visit to discuss our vision and our budget with John, we experienced great service from the start of planning the design to the completion of the kitchen. The fitter Billy was amazing, with great attention to detail. Couple of glitches but all resolved quickly. Highly recommend John at KDC and Billy the fitter.”
“Just had my kitchen done and the whole experience has been brilliant ( as it was before when had utility done in September !) John Crosby has excellent ideas and is very easy to work with ensuring a fantastic end product . Billy the installer / fitter is also easy to work with and has good organisational skills ensuring everything comes together on time , sourcing electrician Wayne and plasterer Dave who were both also good along with Billy’s oversight . Subcontractors for worktops ( Stonehaven ) and glass ( FineFit ) also excellent , as was flooring man Mark .
John’s oversight , design and project management along with frequent site visits and contact was much appreciated.
I can recommend the whole team and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again should I ever have another kitchen to do !!”
“In our search for a replacement kitchen, we had visited a couple of high street retailers before stumbling on the Kitchen Design Centre at Oldham, during a browse around the Housing Units area. As we walked in, we immediately saw a display kitchen which was just what we were seeking and completely different from anything we had seen before.
There we spoke to John Crosby and he arranged to visit us to discuss our requirements and measure the kitchen. John was friendly, informative and listened to our needs. He soon created a design with realistic images which we agreed and ordered.
A kitchen fitter, Billy, was assigned and we discussed with him what was needed before confirming a price for the installation.
After a couple of months, the kitchen arrived from Germany and as the installation progressed, John visited to check developments. Billy, the fitter, was focussed and professional. Having fitted a kitchen myself, I was impressed with his attention to detail. Billy scheduled the electrician, plasterer and kindly disposed of all the packaging and waste.
Following the installation and after living with the kitchen for a short while, we requested a couple of changes which were ordered, delivered and fitted. We now have the kitchen that we wanted which fully meets our requirements.
We are very pleased with our new kitchen. Had we not discovered the Kitchen Design Centre I doubt that we would have a kitchen of such quality. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others.”
“We had our kitchen installed 4years ago which we think is amazing.Unfortunately we have just had a problem with one of the drawers,I talked to Simon (Barrowford branch) and Craig came out to look . He couldn’t do anything to solve the issue so a new drawer was ordered under the 5year warranty,he has since been back and fitted new drawer,looks better than it ever did.

“KDC Urmston were great. Rowan was very professional and designed our kitchen as per our specifications. Quality units and great appliances with a brilliant cash back offer. The fitters were brilliant and very skilled.
We did have a few delays with some appliances but they were beyond KDC control.

“Upon visiting the Kitchen Design Centre in Oldham, we were very impressed with the kitchens on display there. John Crosby came out to look at our very outdated kitchen, listened to all our needs and came up with some great plans for a new kitchen and utility room. I must say, John was very professional and on hand at every step of the way, making regular visits to check things were going well. The after service was also great.
John arranged for John, the kitchen fitter, to come out and assess, as we also needed to have some building work carried out. John (the kitchen fitter) arranged and managed the team of builders, electrician, plasterers, and I have to say that everything ran smoothly and efficiently. All the work carried out was exceptional. John, along with Caitlyn, were great to work with and I have to say we’re thrilled with the end product.
The design, quality of product and the fitting has all been exceptional. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Kitchen Design Centre to anyone. We now have an amazing kitchen, with the Wow factor, which is also very functional and practical. Thankyou!”
“Our kitchen needed a complete makeover and I started my research by going to all the usual kitchen design showrooms. Obviously they all have fantastic displays and it gets very confusing choosing the right company. None of them every felt just right when speaking to them.
I was getting very worried that I would not find a company that I was confident in until I happened to go to Housing Units in Hollinwood one day and saw Kitchen Design Centre (KDC).
I will be completely honest, I sat outside for quite a while thinking that this looked like a really fantastic place but perhaps really out of my price range.
I plucked up the courage and went in and was met by Paul Harrington, one of their designers. He put me at ease right away and I told him what my budget was and he said that he could take a look and come up with a plan, so I booked an appointment right away.
I walked out of their showroom feeling really confident that this was the company I wanted to do my kitchen.
Paul came up with a design, it is only a small kitchen but he managed to include everything I wanted, especially my wonderful Neff dishwasher and my Slide & Hide Neff oven. And all within my budget! I booked them in right away and did not have to wait that long before work commenced.
Billy the kitchen fitter is so good, such excellent workmanship and he is definitely a perfectionist and have to give a nod to Josh, his assistant. Also a heads up to Wayne who did all the electrical work, brilliant job and not that easy.
The finished kitchen is a joy and I am so pleased that I went with Kitchen Design Centre.”
“Had my utility room done in September. Exceptionally pleased with it . The style , design , quality and finish of the product and end result . John Crosby the designer was very pleasant and helpful throughout and Billy the installer produced a high quality finish befitting of the quality product . All subcontractors ( quartz) also good and project managed very efficiently . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kitchen Design Centre in Failsworth ( Manchester ) and am having them do my kitchen in November when flooring throughout utility and kitchen will also be arranged by them .”
“We moved house to North Yorkshire where the previous owners had a Kitchen Design Centre installed some 10 years before. I wished to add extra drawers to the existing cabinets to creat a better use of space in my opinion. The whole process was so supportive, so professional and so pleasing. I was kept in the loop at all times and the staff . . . without exception . . . were professional and attentive. I could not recommend them any more highly! Excellent job!!!! Thank you.”
“We contacted the Blackburn (Brownhill) showroom and Lou came out (4/4/25) and chatted to us and measured up. Initially we were really excited. We had two companies that had designed for us and kitchen design centre were our front runners. After looking through the design with Lou and getting a rough price, we made an appointment for Jack, the builder to come round. He could only do a Monday so we cancelled our daughters swimming and waited. He didn’t show and ignored our calls. We complained to KDC who apologised and we made another appt with him. Again he didn’t show. I rang Lou but she was not in. I was told she would call on the 8/7. She didn’t. I then called Lou again on (12/7) and she apologised and said she would speak to Jack again and call me on the 15/7. I am yet to hear from her two weeks later.”
We are very sorry to hear about the missed appointments and the communication issues you've encountered. This is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide.
We are currently reviewing what went wrong in this instance. While Jack is a self-employed builder and not employed directly by Kitchen Design Centre, we understand that his actions reflect on your overall experience with us. Unfortunately, a combination of staff holidays and illness also contributed to the communication breakdown during this period, for which we apologise.
