“My custom kilt arrived faster than expected, and it is beautifully made. The other items are all of very good quality and are very attractive. I am very pleased with Kilt Society and will order form them again.”

“I bought a pair of ghillie brogues from the Kilt Society, but did not wear them for two years and kept them in the box in which I bought them. I started wearing them in May of 2019, but after only seven days wearing them, the heel fell off one of them. I took them back to the shop in Leith and explained what had happened. Despite the fact that it was obvious they had had very little wear, they refused to replace or repair them or offer any form of refund. I'm thoroughly disgusted with this firm and would advise strongly against purchasing from them, as the brogues they sold me were thoroughly sub-standard, and they refused to recompense me.”

Hi there, Really sorry that you're so disappointed with us, this isn't how we want customers to feel. As explained when you visited our studio, we do offer a very generous 60 day returns policy (most retailers offer up to 28) and as your purchase was almost 2 1/2 years ago this is well outside the 60 days. We will always do what we can to help customers where possible but did express our opinion that the brogues showed signs of being quite well worn, and although you stated they had been used on 7-8 occasions, we can't comment on how they had be worn to show such sign of use. Whilst we we're not in a position to offer you what you were looking for, we are sorry that you felt so unhappy about the situation.

“Wonderful service, package came extremely quickly. The kilt didn’t need any work apart from a few loose threads here and there but those are easily picked off. The poly-viscose material that is used is great and durable for all situation. 11/10 will be coming here again.”

“I’ve bought many an item over the years from Kilt Society. Recently the brown leather day sporran and brown leather belt which equally match. A coat of ‘Kiwi’ brown parade gloss brought the leather to life. If you are looking for an inexpensive but quality leather sporran and belt then I would recommend both.”

Hello There Thanks for taking the time to write a review for Kilt Society. Kilts and trews are worn much higher on the body and therefore how and where you take your waist measurements from will be different from your usual trouser or jeans waist size. Kilts and trews usually sit around the naval and therefore this is where your kilt waist measurement is taken. It is likely to be slightly bigger for most people as on average most of us will go in at the waist a little. We have a handy measuring guide and and size converter on or website so I'd recommend checking it out.Hope this helps, if you have any other questions give us a shout. Maya

“I order a waistcoat that was in the sale, this was delivered very promptly. The waistcoat was of high quality, the thistle detail on the lining and back panel was a nice touch. It fits well, and even at the regular length works with trousers as well as a kilt. My plan is to build up a full look with a kilt in my late father in law's Irish county tartan. I need to lose some weight first, but I will definitely use Kilt Society again.”
