“I went to get my hair cut by Sylvain for the second time now, and I can confirm without any exaggeration that, after 39 years of trying various hairdressers, he is the best one I've had. I usually struggle to explain what my hair needs, and how it reacts, but Sylvain seemed to naturally work it out and worked hard each time to get it absolutely right. I came out with an easily manageable, stylish, and long-lasting haircut that survived throughout the covid lockdown. He is lovely to chat to, passionate about his work, and seems to really know what he's doing. Highly recommended! Je recommande vivement Sylvain, qui apres 39 ans de recherches, est sans hesiter le meilleur coiffeur que j'ai eu. J'ai souvent du mal a trouver quelqu'un qui sache comment gerer mes cheveux, mais Sylvain a su faire de maniere tres naturelle. Je suis sortie avec une coupe facile a gerer, bien stylee, et qui a dure pendant tout le confinement. Meme chose la deuxieme fois. Il est super sympa, passionee, et a vraiment l'air de bien connaitre son boulot!”

“I recently had my second colour appointment with Sylvain and was thrilled. He has previously removed a lot of old dark henna and box dye from my hair, and in this session he lifted off a bit more and neautralised the weird green colour that my hair is stained from the henna. Now I have a mix of warm reds and purples! Despite the fact that I've thrown 7+ years of henna and a few box dyes at my hair, Sylvain has always managed to get a result I'm happy with and introduce some fun colours to my previously brassy and overprocessed hair! And even though I've had a lot of colour done my hair doesn't feel dry or damaged at all, he always takes a lot of care with the hair's condition. Can't recommend enough!”

“Melissa has terrific skills and she does a very good cut of my very thick short grey hair that is allowing me to swim every day and still look good at zoom meetings while getting on without faffing with hairdryers or dailt products. I am a big fan of the salon and their respect for each other, the environment and their clients.”

“Had a great experience! It was my first time getting a proper haircut after lockdown and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff was lovely and the salon itself was nice as well, especially the massage chairs :). My stylist Elia did a wonderful job and gave me the exact haircut I asked for. 10/10 experience!”

“Sylvain has dyed my hair, he came up with an amazing idea of divining my roots into four parts and dying then with different colors and I am in love with my new hair colour!! I highly recommend Sylvain if you are looking for somebody artistic. Сильвиан был моим мастером, и мы решили покрасить корни по его инициативе. Я осталась очень довольна, так как он предложил замечательную идею разделить корни на четыре части, крася из в разные цвета. Если вы ищите креативного мастера, который может создать вам неповторимый образ, я рекомендую Сильвиана. Замечательный салон и замечательный результат.”

“I had my hair cut and coloured today by Sylvain. It's the best haircut I've had in years, the colour is good too. I would definitely recommend! The staff at Anne Veck are all lovely and make you feel very comfortable. Love the salons sustainable ethos as well. It was a great experience, thank you Sylvain!”

“I booked in with the lovely Sylvain or I like to call him the french Magician! Over lockdown I had damage from over bleaching/medications/not being cut over a year! I came in with an open mind because I knew the damage was pretty bad. But I trusted Sylvain would take on the challenge. AND.. he did better than I could ever imagine my hair could look right now. I’m half a day I went in feeling crap and left with my head held high. The condition of my hair has been completely recovered. We went for a different hair cut (something shorter than I’ve had for a while) but I’m in love with it. My partner booked me in as a treat and he adores it! And can’t stop saying how beautiful I look. I will be visiting again and staying away from home bleaching forever! Thank you Sylvain and Anne Veck salon Hope to see you soon Amelia”

“I had an excellent experience with Sylvain on Saturday! After not having my hair touched for nearly a year, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. He was kind, professional and made me feel so relaxed. A beautiful honey blonde balayage with an exceptional cut to go with it. Definitely book in with Sylvain you won’t regret it!”

“I managed to get a last minute appointment last Friday and I had no idea how lucky I was. I had the amazing Sylvain whom I had never had before. I have had lots of balayage done before on my hair but none as incredible as this. He created the most natural honey blonde balayage ever also leaving my hair beautifully soft and shiny. If you want something inventive, professional and polished go to Sylvain. I’m so happy with my hair and have received so many compliments. 5 stars.”

“My daughter had her first highlights done by Sylvain - the French. He did a superb job, her hair looks glossy and sun kissed and she is delighted. I recommend this salon - all the staff are highly skilled and lovely!”

“I have been coming to Anne Veck salon for I think nearly 10 years. Due to COVID ,since January 202O I have been using a box home colouring trimming my own locks! Roll on April 12th and my conscience tells me don’t travel, stay local. I don’t live in Oxford so book into a salon in my home town. Big, big mistake as I end up with the most awful cut and colour. What am I going to do? Ring Anne, who fortunately has a cancellation and fits me in. Firstly, lovely lady who did not make me feel at all uncomfortable that I had used a different salon for once. I had no doubt that Anne would work her magic and fix my hair. Anne is such a talented hairdresser. I walked out of Anne Veck today with a huge smile, loving what Anne has done. Thank you and I won’t be going anywhere else to have my hair done. Big virtual hugs to Anne for making me smile about my hair!”
