I've been going for years and really appreciate the quality of the hairdressing, the décor and eco-friendliness of the staff and the warmth of the atmosphere. I would like the music to be a bit quieter and would like to see Wi Fi available again.

Hi Laura Thank you for your lovely comments about the salon. I'll feed back your thoughts on the music to Kelly the manager and Anne. Yes our wifi or lack of it is a major problem. OX4 post code area is in the 5% of the UK with the slowest broadband speeds. Our till and booking software now works with the cloud ( called "progress") which is very greedy of broadband. So we are forced to limit access to our broadband to salon use for the time being. BT Openreach have the contract to install B/B to OX4 but will not tell us when they intend to do this! I visited Anne Veck for a colour and hair cut. Very pleased with the colour and cut, exactly how i imagined it and I've had so many compliments.

I wanted some funky hair for Halloween and Anne Veck totally delivered!!!! i have seen online lots of cool pictures of girls with half their head one colour and half the other, but they always use bleach. i wantd to achieve something similar but without bleach and Anne got one side to a really vibrant red and the other a beautiful dark purple! i look super cool for halloween and its a style ill probably keep :)

Awful experience, wanted to go blonder thats the only thing I asked for! and my hair ended up darker and looks absolutely awful!!! (by allister) When I called to complain I had Anne Veck hang up on me! Which I found most unprofessional and very odd considering I was most polite on the phone I just wanted my hair to be fixed. And me being a young student, I did not want to pay again, but they refused to fix it.

Hello and thanks for the feedback. If this is actually what happened, please accept my apologies. However, because reviews.co.uk does show your email address, I have checked your last appointment and, if you are the same person, it was back in March 2017! Your stylist, Allister, has found a photo record of what we think might be your appointment on Instagram . He says " I had a client 2 years ago and she came in after screwing her own hair up at home. This is the before and after, she did ask me to make her hair blonder but it was snapping from her home job so I convinced her to put brown over the yellow and orange. It's written in the consultation that it would be dark, I told her every step of the way it was going to be dark. " Again, if this is not you, please accept my apologies. Would like to say, I just walked in and arranged appt for half an hour later with tia. The girls on the front desk were very nice and friendly. Tia was very nice, she had a very lovely way about her. I am very happy with my cut and would highly recommend. Tia was confident and highly skilled.

Firstly I have been a regular customer for about 20 plus years and have always been happy with my haircuts from a wonderful lady who has worked for Anne Veck for many years. I was very surprised with Anne's unprofessionalism, obviously they where understaffed and all you could hear whilst treating yourself to a haircut was Anne stressed out and waiting for her member of staff to come in who was travelling from Kidlington and was very late the atmosphere was very tense and unpleasant I couldn't wait to get out of the salon. I am very disappointed and I know its stressful when your waiting for late staff and understaffed but you do not show this to your clients and client who has been visiting your hair salon for over twenty years.

It is true that Anne was having a particularly difficult day but ,as you point out, this should not be communicated to our clients! Our receptionist was on holiday and, therefore, sod's law applied and we had someone off sick too. She is really sorry and hopes you will still come to the salon. We'll also be in touch if we can. Excellent experience at the Oxford salon! I've been before for cut and blow dry and I was really impressed on this particular occasion where I wanted a bit of a creative colour for my long hair. Jowita gave me a thorough consultation on how to best achieve the 'fire' effect I wanted and her finished work is great! I love it and received lots of compliments. Thank you and no doubt I will be one of her regulars from now on!

I booked for a full head tint and blow dry on the phone the receptionist (who didn’t disclose) her name confirmed the price in total would be £41 after the discount of my birthday voucher (£20). I turned up to the salon got any my treatments done when it came to paying Eliza the stylist told me I have to pay £72 which was more than double to what I was quoted on the phone. I was thoroughly disappointed as it was a mistake of the receptionist and it would have been nice for the salon to honour their original price. Even more so there was no apology or compensation . I am a regular to the salon, after this experience I don’t think I will be returning due to poor communication the salon has mismanaged the treatment of a loyal customer.

Hi Mehr I'm very sorry about this, I'll investigate and get back to you , I hope we can keep you. Obviously a communication problem as you say.... Your price was full head tint @ £51 plus blow dry medium/long hair @ £41= total £92 less £20 voucher = £72. So you were charged correctly. Keith, Anne Veck salons

Popped into Bicester by chance and was lucky as customer had just cancelled. Had my hair cut by lovely Elisha who listened and did exactly as I wanted in super quick time. Very happy with the results. Will definitely go back and see her again. Thanks Elisha 😊

First visit to Anne Veck in Oxford today and I have had a lovely experience. I only had a cut but the stylist Shalay was so friendly and did a great job of my hair leaving it fresh and smooth! Will definitely return Thankyou :)

Staff were friendly and attentive. Smooth transition from booking appointment, patch test to finished product...now onto the actual experience. Thank you so much Cassie for what you've done, i love it! You listened, advised and created just what I wanted. You have taken me from vanilla to an epic Sunday just in time for my 50th birthday! I will be back.

Great service but your staff need better personal hygiene! I had a lovely lady that was so welcoming and understanding with what i wanted done to my hair but when walking into the salon and the gentleman that welcomed me clearly has very poor personal hygiene!!!

Very disappointed with the shape of the hair cut. It is choppy and doesnt lay down well. Didn't notice how bad it was at the time because my hair was currled and hair sprayed right after the cut.

Cassie cut my hair today, and I am very happy with it. She did it quickly and without charging me the extra time due to me being late and my hair actually being quite long for a 30min time slot. She was also very pleasant and friendly.
