“The item arrived in good time and well packaged. The handrail itself had one end partially cut, so when agitating the end gap it would not of been flush. Poor quality control I assume is to blame. I emailed the company about this, and the lack of wall plugs, which was not advertised, and to date the company has not responded to my email. Few days and counting.”

Sorry that we did not reply to your email, We do not supply the wall plugs as each wall can be different.

“Good material. Terrible 'refund' policy. I have ordered twice from Jackson Woodturners. It seems to be a family business with the owner, Ian, pretty much on the ball. The rest of the team do not seem to care that much. The materials I ordered were delivered promptly. Some of the glass panels arrived shattered, due probably to defective packaging. When I told them via email, and then phone, they asked for a photo to prove they were shattered and sent promptly a new order to replace them. This second order also arrived with some of the glasses shattered. It is really difficult to hold the courier while the cartoon boxes are opened, so we only realised that the glasses were shattered after the courier left. This time Jackson Woodturners asked me for £10 delivery charge, which I paid on the spot. Then I realised that Jackson Woodturners had shipped for glasses than required, so I promptly called them to cancel the delivery and save them some money. I have sent 4 emails, called 3 times and after a whole month, they seem to forget that the refund is due. For £10, out of the £1200 order, the whole experience has turned sour, as I am investing time and effort checking my credit card, sending email that are never responded and calling them on the phone. I hope that they read this and get the customer service support straight. Overall: good material, friendly to sell. Terrible experience to get my money back.”

Thank you for your review, we are sorry that you had a bad experience with your refund. As per the conversation on the 27th March with your wife your £10 was refunded, however refunds might take up to 10 business days for your bank to complete, depending on their processing time. This can vary between card issuers, and unfortunately we are unable to influence this.

“I am disappointed with the quality of the banister wood. I do not think that this was damage in transit, it looked well packed. There is a crack which I will describe. Looking at the end face like a figure eight, with the slant of the base on the high point LHS the crack is about two mm wide 20mm deep and runs along the length of the wood for about 310 mm. I would guess that the crack arose from the drying process. I had not determined how I was going to mount this banner on top of the existing banner, so still have give some thought to the problem.”

“order was arranged for the 6th.my wife took a day of work, so we would not miss delivery. the oak handrails+base rails did not arrive. my wife was in all day,i got home from work at 3.30. i phoned jacksons woodturners sat morning to ask why no delivery had been made.the salesperson i spoke to did not seem overley concernerd about this considering i had PAID for delivery. he then proceeded to inform me that the delivery company had tried to deliver at 16.46 but got no answer. there was no card left to say they had been. i explained that it was impossible for us to miss the delivery as we was both in. the salesperson did not seem concerned again,informed me delivery will be made on the following monday. WE WILL WAIT AND SEE. i will certainly NOT be using this company again. neither should you. only if you want to pay for the privalidge of taking a day off work and paying for a non existent delivery.”

The up most attention is taken to get customers their orders on time and when they require it. We do use a third party carrier to deliver orders and we are sometimes let down by their service through no fault of our own.

“banister fine, but 3 of the 5 brackets scratched, 2 quite badly. if it had not been urgent to put up, I would have sent the brackets back. But a bit of paint will soon cover the marks.”
