“We sadly said goodbye to our lovely mum.30/6/26 The service we received was excellent Laya and her team were so professional. We didn't know what to expect as we are from West Sussex. So not local everything was flawless the music the flowers. A special mention to Donna who after the funeral showed us the special plaque in the grounds and was so friendly after a difficult time. Thank you for making this special as a family it meant a lot to us.”

“With the recent passing of my nan, I found myself in unfamiliar territory of organising her funeral. I didn’t know where to start or what to do. Then I found in memory of life, and in the worst moment of my life they gave me so much support and helped me with the whole process. They don’t have a “normal” office but I actually found that better as they were on hand all the time through WhatsApp and phone calls. They always checked in to see how I was doing even though that wasn’t part of the job. Rebecca went above and beyond to help create the most beautiful order of service booklets for me. They give you a task manager online which gives you an itenary of all the stuff you need to complete and once done you can check it off, and this made the whole process so much smoother. When it come to the day of the funeral Kieran was on hand and professional and very caring and helped with everything. The officiant Richard wiseman led the service beautifully and the day went as perfect as I could have imagined. I cannot fault in memory of life at all, they really was so supportive and every team member was always there when I had any questions and I cannot thank them enough again for helping me x”

“From the first phone call with Nick to arrange the funeral and then throughout the arrangements with the continued excellent support of May the whole experience was reassuring and flawless with great attention to detail. This made the experience of losing a loved one and making the funeral arrangements much easier to deal with. The day itself was expertly and compassionately handled with the upmost professionalism. Highly recommend this company.”

“The whole team at In Memory of Life have been amazing. I was able to give my mum a beautiful befitting burial and the team at In Memory of Life played a big part in making sure the day went as planned. Thank you for your professionalism, genuine care and patience. From the point of initial enquiry, Nick was informative, sensitive and extremely helpful. Tali was our funeral coordinator and she was absolutely amazing and coordinated everything perfectly which took a massive weight off my shoulders. Communication was brilliant. The pall bearers were also very professional and patient with us. Thank you to the whole team.”

“The send off for my dear friend was so beautiful. The team were so diligent, calm, conscious and supported us throughout. The funeral was in Epping forest and was just a stunning venue! Also, most importantly it was reasonably priced. Thank you so much for your patience and support and facilitating such a beautiful send off for my dear friend.”

“In memory of life we’re amazing. The whole process was very smooth thanks to their professionalism. The staff were lovely, very calm and caring. They immediately set up a WhatsApp group and I could message with any questions at anytime. They are very helpful and would often phone too with that personal touch. On the day of the funeral they were lovely and respectful at all times. I would definitely recommend.”

“We found memory of life to be a warm and caring service ,They took their time to explain the steps and options in a patient and empathetic manner . “I cannot thank the whole In Memory of Life Team, and Emma in particular, for the care and support that they provided to me in relation to my husband's funeral. The Team Members were always available to deal with my queries and were very patient, reassuring and respectful as they guided me through the funeral process. Maria at the Chapel of Rest was very caring and kind, and Ruth-the Celebrant, and Donna - the Florist, who were introduced to me by the Team provided excellent services. Overall a very professional service, with fair pricing and clear communication throughout.”

“It’s hard to know what to rate a funeral director, as it’s a very sad “thumbs up” or 5 stars, but in this case In Memory Of Life deserve top tier praise. In all honesty, If they’re still knocking around when I exit stage left, I’d definitely come back as a ghost and book them again… Or if it was appropriate to leaflet my elderly relatives and say “have you thought about these guys?” I’d do it. On to the serious bit… We came to IMOL because my mother in law passed away in February. She had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and when we were encouraged to find a local funeral director by the hospice we approached one in Sutton that was utterly terrible to start with. She sneered when we mentioned the potential of benefits funding the funeral, or needing to limit our spending due to budget, showing zero empathy. When we said we weren’t going for a limo, I saw the £ leave her ironically, cold, dead eyes. (Do not use Knox in the Sutton area). We were shaken up by that experience and found IMOL afterwards- and although the first experience with the other company was horrible to be on the end of- I am so pleased it put us in the direction of IMOL. We spoke to Nick and shared our negative experience, he empathised with us and reassured us instantly. When my mother in law passed away, we got hold of him on the Sunday it happened and he took the call personally. He reassured us we didn’t need to do anything else for now and gave us a few days space to process which was utterly needed. He was even quite protective of our energy when we told him about our experience at the Hospice where a rogue Nun was leading my wife away to make a donation following her mother passing- “is that what she needs right now?”. Even by saying this- it made me immediately feel that IMOL were on our side and not just a business. We were given their details to contact via Whatsapp which made planning the funeral so easy- they were always contactable for those questions you might feel are a little silly- this was our first miserable rodeo, so that was invaluable. They’re family run and clearly empathy runs deep with the whole crew. They dealt with everything so sensitively, but also matched our energy and made us smile in the darkest of moments. Special shout out to Rebecca who matched us gif for gif- appropriately, professionally, and hilariously. Because that’s what we needed. And I am confident that the whole company would adjust to your needs- so if you aren’t about the gifs, humour or anything like that- don’t be put off by this… I can assure you it’s more us than them. We were blown away by their support and want to thank you for taking us through such a horrendous time, step by step with kindness on tap.”

They were able to walk us through all of the steps and provide recommendations where we were unsure. Couldn’t have asked for a more helpful team.”

“Having to arrange a funeral and not knowing where to start, my Internet searches found in the memory of life. My first interaction was with the director Nick, he was gave me support and advice at a difficult time, explaining details and what to expect even on how much of a cost etc. He provided a detailed breakdown which helped .I decided to go a head with them, I found the use of whatapp extremely helpful. Waking up in the early hours panicking about something I needed to ask or query was so helpful. My assigned officer Emma, responded quickly and and follow up emails and calls were were timely and again the support was amazingm. Emma walked me through all the stages and what to expect given this was my first time having to organise a funeral with no idea on how it all works. Also I only had about a week to organise this and Emma was instrumental in getting this done. I am extremely greatful and happy I chose to use In the memory of life at a difficult time. I would recommend In memory of life. Thank you for helping me give my dad an amazing send off. Lisa”
