Memory of Life organised my father's funeral. He had donated his body to medical science and his funeral wasnt like most. For one, it was carried out almost a year after his memorial service and was conducted by the University Hospitals Sussex. Layla was extremely helpful. She reorganised the date so my family and I could attend his funeral. My sons were able to carry his casket - something they could not do at his memorial service. Revd Joanna delivered a beautiful sermon. She also read out a poem my son had written in honour of my father. What should have been a 10 minute service was extended . It was beautifully organised and sensitively carried out. We were very touched with how respectfully it was all done. I feel very much at peace that my father was finally laid to rest.

I shopped around before deciding to use In Memory of Life. Unfortunately, over recent years I’ve had to deal with laying to rest another loved one. I used a well known high street funeral company back then. In comparison, ‘In Memory of Life’ is second to none. Nick and Tali, both proprietors and siblings were magnificent. Every detail of my late husband’s funeral was handled with the utmost of care and they and their staff (and the pall bearers) fulfilled my wishes with sensitivity, respect and professionalism. Through mainly WhatsApp texts, which may seem strange at first, they gave me regular check ins. If I wasn’t clear on anything they would arrange to call me instead. On reflection, I had more contact with Nick and Tali who (Tali) increasingly took the reins, than what I ever had with the other well known high street funeral directors. So the WhatsApp texts turned out to be a more easier and quicker way to communicate my needs to them and get resolutions to my questions. Tali’s check ins from time to time, just to see how I was baring up and to verify with me that I was ‘happy’ that every detail was to my satisfaction, brought me untold comfort during the hardest time of my life. I also have to give a warm thank you to Mark, the funeral conductor on the day. He rang me the day before, explaining what was going to happen on the day of my husband’s funeral and wanted to check if I had any questions for him. He invited me to walk in front of the hearse as a mark of respect to my late husband for a short distance as I left my home with my beloved. Mark also offered his arm to me as we walked into the chapel behind my husband. The attentiveness and attention to detail rippled throughout the whole company. Thank you to each and every one of you, including Maria at the funeral parlour. With much gratitude. Beverley x

My father recently passed away and having never made arrangements before I contacted in memory of life. Emma was a fantastic person to deal with, she listened to my needs and was compassionate at all times. She was very professional and I would recommend her she organised everything from start to finish. The stress of losing a loved one was made so much easier with Emma leading the way. Thanks once again for the fantastic help and support given Daniel

I am so greatful for the compassionate and empathic support during such a difficult time arranging my uncles funeral. Even though I did not have family to help, I did not feel alone in the process. From the wonderful informative emails and what's app chats with Emma to the day of service itself. I can not thank the team at In Memory Of Life enough for the kindness they showed to not only myself but the memory of my uncles life.

From the first call, Nick, to the many others, and setting up the WhatsApp link, the otherwise difficult process of arranging my Father's funeral was greatly facilitated by IMOL. They explained everything and everyone I spoke to was empathetic. The arrival of the coffin was perfect and the chap in charge could not have been more patient and helpful. A massive thank you to you all at IMOL for ensuring a harrowing experience was not quite so bad👏👏

We’re so grateful to the IMOL team for their incredible support during such a difficult time for our family. From start to finish, they showed genuine compassion at every touchpoint, answering all our questions and accommodating every request with thoughtfulness and care. A particularly emotional chapel visit, which we approached with some nervousness, became a moment of real comfort. The way they had cared for my uncle was so respectful and tender, it made our private farewell truly special. The funeral itself was overwhelming in the most emotional and meaningful way. Thanks to the IMOL team’s calm, seamless coordination, we were able to focus entirely on being present with one another. Everything ran so smoothly, and that was entirely down to their professionalism, empathy, and quiet dedication behind the scenes.

Thank you for your compassionate, professional and supportive service during what was one of the most difficult times for us. From the day I spoke to Nick who was so kind, understanding and patiently went through the process with no pressure to sell whatsoever. He accommodated every request and changes, then to working with Rebecca and Megan who were equally professional, understanding and caring. Dean ensured the day of the funeral went seamlessly, he took charge of every aspect while remaining respectful. Family and friends have been enquiring of your services though we pray and hope they won’t need it anytime soon. Thank you for everything. Bukky Apampa

I had the pleasure of working with Tali at In Memory of Life, and I can honestly say she made an incredibly difficult time a little bit easier. Tali was exceptional—kind, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive to every detail. No matter the issue, big or small, she was always there to help, and her support made a world of difference. I’m so grateful to Tali for her warmth and professionalism, but I also want to extend my thanks to the entire team at In Memory of Life. From start to finish, everyone was compassionate, understanding, and dedicated to making the process as smooth as possible. They took care of everything and thought of every small detail. Tali and the entire team are incredible, and I’m so thankful for all of their support during this tough time.

Tali really looked after my Brother and I all the way through whilst arranging the cremation for my Mother. Once we were at the chosen crematorium the conductor , Donna looked after my Brother and I there knowing how emotional we were. There was also Matt and Nick at ‘ In Memory of life ‘ that also helped my Brother and I throughout the arrangement. In Memory of Life go out of their way to make sure everyone going through tough emotional times is well looked after

Excellent communication with Laya right until the funeral date. She was very considerate, taking account of all our requests and answering all of questions in a timely manner. The service itself was respectful and carried out with dignity and exactly as we had hoped. An excellent service overall.

In Memory of Life organised Mum's funeral superbly. Laya communicated brilliantly and their systems are easy to navigate when making choices for what is always a difficult day. The chaplain, David, spoke some truly lovely words and conducted the service wonderfully, with real compassion. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Excellent service and they made the whole process very easy from the first phone call right through the the very end. Excellent communication with every detail taken into account, very respectful throughout. As we live in Dorset and the funeral was being held in London we had nothing to worry about as everything was taken care of for us. I can't praise them enough and my whole family thanks all of their staff for their very professional service. Many Thanks from us all.

From the initial dealings with the company I found the staff I dealt with warm, understanding, empathetic, very efficient, and very responsive. The funeral and committal service for my late father - who had given his body for science (he died just over a year before the committal and cremation this July) was very well-organised and although short, was touching and well put together. I would have no hesitation in recommending In Memory of Life, whim helped to make a sad occasion less painful through their care, professionalism and kindness.

I reached out to In Memory of Life to request a quotation for my cousin’s funeral. From the beginning, I spoke with Nick, who was incredibly supportive and responsive. He promptly answered all my questions and provided clear guidance on the process. I had contacted several other funeral directors on the same day, but none offered the same level of service and care as Nick, which is why I chose to proceed with In Memory of Life. We needed to arrange the cremation service as quickly as possible and have the ashes sent to my cousin’s family in Nepal. May went above and beyond to ensure everything was organised smoothly, despite the short timeframe. She worked diligently to coordinate the arrangements and liaise with couriers so the ashes could be sent promptly. On the day of the funeral, Grant served as our funeral conductor. He was one of the kindest and most compassionate people I’ve met, and his presence and professionalism truly made a difference during such a difficult time. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at In Memory of Life for your outstanding support and care.

I truly cannot recommend 'In Memory of Life' strongly enough. When my Dad passed away suddenly in June, our young family were left devastated and overwhelmed. We so were so determined to give him the send-off he deserved, and you helped us to deliver it perfectly. I dealt with Holly, who was so friendly from the get-go and over time, it felt like speaking to a friend. Everything was handled in such a sensitive manner from start to finish; with nothing being too much trouble and no questions being silly. I genuinely feel as though we were being cared for and not as though it was just a service with no feeling involved. While planning a funeral is always hard, Holly and the team ensured it was plain-sailing. We were never pressured into anything, nor did they ever try to upsell anything to us. I was given time to make decisions when I was ready and I felt as though everything I had expressed was listened to intently. Having the ability to contact Holly via WhatsApp was fantastic. She was even sending me regular messages to check how we are all doing and has also done so after the service. It meant I could keep referring back to messages if I'd forgotten any details and if I was feeling upset, I didn't have to speak on the phone. I think this is a really good touch for a Funeral Director to offer. I expressed to Holly that we wanted a Humanist Celebrant for Dad's service and she recommended the wonderful Viv Thomas, who could not have been more well-suited for us. On the day, Mark took care of us and he was also just fantastic. He spoke to us with so much care and attention and checked in on us regularly. My Dad was a Barber and when I mentioned to Mark that we'd like his hearse and procession to go past his Barber Shop, Mark decided that he thought my Dad deserved to stop outside rather than just go past - even if it meant stopping traffic. We were able to arrange a VW Camper for Dad to take his final journey in and it was perfect. I honestly have tears in my eyes writing this review, because your wondereful team treated me and my family with genuine care and concern. I cannot express how grateful we are. THANK YOU for being so wonderful to us and to my Dad when he was in your care.
