Thank you for your feedback. Insurers consider several factors when calculating the renewal price. Indexation, an adverse claims history and the customer making a claim within the last 12 months will usually drive an increase, but there are other, more subjective factors as well. These include insurers’ views on the various risks associated with the insurance they are providing, such as changes in their overall claims experience for a given property type or a review of the severity of natural disasters occurring in a given postcode. Finally, we would like to confirm that renewals are not mandatory, and we contact our customers in good time with an offer of price for the coming 12 months. This gives them the opportunity to consider our terms and to shop around if they feel we are not offering value for money. If you would like to discuss the reasons for the increase of your renewal premium, please feel free to contact us on 0800 470 1881 and we will be happy to provide you with this information.

Up until now the support I have had from i4me has been excellent but for this renewal I wa going to cancel as the premium had gone up to £892 . Ben who was helpful , rechecked the cover and found a Aviva quote for same cover for £435 . Why didn’t I get this when the renewal came through .

I'm not impressed if the reason my insurance has gone up by £64 is to cover the cost of the £50 John Lewis vouchers you may pay folk who write a review!!

I have recently taken out a 2nd home insurance and I4ME wanted to charge me an uplift on last year, I then said I would hunt for a cheaper price and they found an alternative Insurance underwriter 25% cheaper straiight away. I would have preferred my renewal to have been the best they could find straight away without me pushing for a cheaper policy. This would build client trust and repeated business.

Very disappointed that the renewal quotation was not the best available. It was only when I asked for it to be looked at a cheaper premium with better cover was offered.

As with any insurance product, you don't know how good it is until you have to claim. I haven't had to so far with i4me policies so policy value/customer support unproven. As a landlord of several properties, I find it irritating that i4me communications don't show the property address at the top level on the mail or covering letter so I know which address it relates to. Increasingly, like i4me, brokers only seem to deal with a very restricted number of underwriters, which encourages me to use internet comparison sites to check/improve on value.

I have no clue how good i4me are, because fortunately I have not needed to file a claim. Albeit getting the insurance cover was easily processed.

I think that the fact that my insurance has gone up by 25-30% this year with no changes to the policy and I have not claimed recently is greedy. I know that inflation is not th eonly factor governing insurance but it must be a considerable factor. Global warming isnot going that fast. This year inflation is 5% so a 25% increase is quite steep. As I have not claimed in years I cannot comment on any other aspect of these insurers

The information is clear and helpful and phone service is good. However, I was given an original quote of £530 which was subsequently reduced to £370 after a phone call. Why could I not have been offered the lower quote in the first instance?

Completed transaction on line and payment was taken. Policy didn’t go live so I re did it and got charged twice. Refund took a few days but now back in my account. Was contacted by customer services directly to check refund was sorted so that was great.

We needed holiday home insurance quickly and we were able to do it on line which was a great advantage.

I was first quoted a price in January for holiday home insurance. I waited until April to start the exact same policy because of Covid restrictions and I found it had gone up by a staggering £60 in 12 weeks. The broker herself was very nice but not very helpful when explaining why it had gone up by 20%....Not on i4me to establish pricing but I am not overly happy with the way it was dealt with.

Bit shocked at hike in premium since last year. Should have started looking elsewhere sooner! Lesson learned for next year! This company was great for first two years, and then premiums started to climb. Considering insured property, which is less than 50 feet from ours and therefore regularly visited/checked had no visitors to speak of courtesy of covid, seems a tad out of kilter

I contacted i4me to question why the quotation for next year was 25% higher than this. I was told that it was because insurers had raised their rates - but not why that might be: coronavirus? climate change? I was tempted to say "Well, why don't you change your insurers?" but I realise it's not that simple. In the end, given the timescale, I decided to save some money by paying one lump sum and cancelling the direct debit. But it did feel like I was being told "Take it or leave it!"

Very easy process, but premiums are not cheap.

Renewal notice sent promptly by e mail & post , but no explanation given for the increase in premium by 12% without any claims. When queried , price reduced to a 10% increase , still without any explanation. A somewhat take it or leave it attitude o the phone. Why is loyalty not rewarded rather than penalised. Genuinely mystified.

Adequate but I asked for help on a denial of access claim and didn't hear anything from them. I sorted it out on my own. Despite being asked to claim, I have lost my no claims and policy has increase.
