“Whilst the course was a good refresher on some of the topics covered and the main ones being RA,the other sections could have been a little more expansive in the details. I'm probably more used to a fuller description as i have completed many CITB courses in the past.”

“I found the course easy to access and follow, it had very clear instructions and the progression made sense. I think that doing the course online in my own time made it easier to digest the information as there is a lot of content which in a classroom setting may have been difficult to focus on. Perhaps some specific feedback would be useful to point out any errors or options. Over all well presented and fun!”

“Found the course very informative and enjoyable, especially liked the fact I could work at my own pace and could go back if something was not clear. There were some problems logging on but this could equally be the quality of the internet connection. Some of the content did repeat itself but was helpful in confirming what we had learnt. The test questions helped with the learning and promoted a sense of competition within our group.”

“I found the course to be very informative. Its flexible approach of being able to start and go back at a more convienient time was extremley useful. I did however feel that some of the questions on the final assessments did not always match that of what had been said during the training. Otherwise the course on the whole was well paced and covered all aspects needed for the topic.”

Thank you for your feedback Andrea. Rest assured the answers do align to the content. But sometimes they are placed into a different context that might seem unfamiliar. This is deliberate though, because we find it is a more reliable way to check that the material has been understood and is not simply being recited.

“I was impressed with the IOSH Managing Safely course, everything was laid out easily and very quick to navigate exactly where I wanted to go. It was great that my progress was tracked with a quick page refresh and everything was clearly explained. The mock and end of course assessment was professional and I found each question to be clear and concise, there were no ambiguous questions. Once I had submitted my end of course project, I received concise, constructive feedback the following day. I highly recommend this course and the course provider.”

“Good course content covering full range of topics with varied exercises to test knowledge. Helpful advisors when problems arose. Questions within tests were repetitive, obviously selected at random from a larger list but I ended up with 2 questions the same within the same test. Frustrating to have lost connection just before the end of the final test meaning I did not get to finish. The only option offered was to retake the entire test which I felt would have been too time consuming. Overall happy with training provided.”

“There is a lot of information to take in. The quiz at the end was not related to a lot of the course work and I felt that a lot of the questions were common sense answers? I thought that they would have been based a lot more around the slides on the course material. I did not find this too difficult, but I can see certain individuals having difficulty with this, if they have not dealt with Health and safety in the past.”

Thank you for your feedback. Rest assured that all the final assessment questions are covered in the course materials and that they have all been crossed referenced to the specific locations in the course where they are covered. However, many of the questions are reframed, or put into a different context, to check that the student has understood the (deeper) concepts and is not just reciting word-for-word text that they read during the course. That way we can see that they have truly absorbed and understood the training materials.

“Very well presented and concise IOSH H&S for site managers course. Extremely easy to navigate and complete. This was perfect to do in between work flows and was able to apply much of what i was learning in real time on site. 4 Stars given, only as the course could have perhaps done with video content, to break up the text based learning, to help further understanding of some aspects. Great course and another step on the H&S ladder!”

“Content was very good, easy to read. I like the interactive exercises and Mock Assessments as there is so much to learn. One slight observation would be to change the way the user manages the slides, so if you leave a set of slides (Modules), it should take you back to back to where you left it, not having to start again.”

“The course was good overall and easy to follow. However, it could be improved if spell check was ran on the presentation as there were some glaring errors (I'm not the worlds best speller by any means). For example Parliament was spelt Parliment.......”

Thank you for your feedback. We do check run spell checks and have the courses proof read, but unfortunately the odd spelling mistake does pop up from time to time. We'll certainly check that course again.
