“I had read reviews of the service offered by Home-Approved before requesting a survey of the house that my wife and I were seeking to buy, so I was happy to 'give-it-a-go'. When I received the report I was quite surprised as to how in-depth a report it was. There were some very good photographs showing problems with the roof tiles, chimney stack, inadequate lead flashing, inadequate cement/tile fillets, gutter blockage and other less serious items. In view of the problems highlighted, I forwarded a copy to the agent for the vendor, at the same time reducing my offer by £20,000.00. Two 'phone calls to the vendor's agent later, it was agreed that £15,000.00 should be taken off the original price. That sum of money will just about cover the quote we received for all repairwork required following the survey. Sale agreed. Expecting to exchange any day soon. Completion anticipated mid December. Thank you very much 'Home Approved'.”

“The survey was relatively expensive, but the survey report produced by Home Approved was very thorough and the service provided very prompt. I would have liked the surveyor to mention the presence of potentially Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) in all rooms, considering the possible risk involved (it was only mentioned for one of them), but overall I am happy with their service.”

“Good communication, mainly by email. Report produced within 2 days. Our specific concerns were addressed and answered in the report. Report gave estimates of costs. Prompt response to questions posed after survey.”
