“This chicken was the size of a turkey But tastes sooooooo much better The whole process from buying to delivery was great Delivery was delayed but it was Christmas and courier was busy It was packed chilled and arrived chilled Can’t wait to order more chicken from here”

“We were really impressed with "Herbie", our Herb Feb rooster on Xmas Day 21. Definitely the best we've had in living memory, and we're not spring chickens! (pun intended) Thoroughly recommended. Ps it helps not to overcook it, use of an oven thermometer plus at least 30 mins rest at the end is essential.”

“This herb fed rooster was so delicious! Full of flavour and great texture and it filled the kitchen with a wonderful smell far outweighing normal roast chicken. A fantastic alternative to a roast turkey forChristmas Dinner for a small family. Arrived very fresh and well packaged at the time promised. Will definitely be on my ‘go to ‘ list for special meals.”

“From the moment I ordered my Christmas Cockerel to the moment it arrived communication was very good. The cockerel itself was beautifully wrapped and presented . The accompanying instructions were extremely useful and led to a perfectly cooked bird. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed it.”

“We have been buying chickens from this lovely poultry farm for several years always delighted with taste/quality and service. So last year thought would try a Rooster, it was very good but I made the mistake of thinking I knew better than the "tried & tested" instructions!! so overcooked it a bit, but was still very tasty. This year having learned a valuable lesson I followed the cooking times exactly and the result was fantastic, the best we have ever tasted with plenty of flavour, juicy and moist breast meat with a slightly stronger flavour to the leg/thigh. Was the star of the show on Christmas day with plenty remaining for sandwiches/stir fry and Rissotto on New Years Day. To sum up: Simply the best from a great company with a fabulous ethos. “Easy to order, packaged really well, delivery absolutely spot on and most importantly, the bird was delicious. This is the third year we have been to Herb Fed Poultry for our Christmas bird (we have a capon), and we will definitely use them again next year. Thank you guys!”
