“Our rooster was so delicious - thank you! Our friends who came to stay were so impressed that they will be trying one next year too. Thank you.”

“Collection was somewhat chaotic finding your purchase on the list, but am sure that can improve. Did not really want to find a bag of herbs in the box that were from other countries as I like to buy items as locally as possible, all that said the turkey was great, great taste and quality”

“Really disappointed this year. Cooked the turkey to the time suggested (in fact added 20 mins on to the time and my oven always seems to be on thge hot side). However, other than the top part of the breast when cutting further into the bird a couple of days later we were horrified to see it was very raw deep inside the bird even though the thermometer had indicated 65-70 degrees and juices on the thigh were running clear. We were also a bit disappointed with the taste this year too. Coincidentally, friends who had also bought a much smaller Herb Fed bird also said there's was underdone and had to put back in the oven. I think the timings quoted on your literature need to be adjusted. Very disappointed.”

HI Susan, While we have had a lot of extremely positive feedback we are very sorry to hear your feedback. With regard to cooking times we are very careful to include our recommended cooking times as the birds are much quicker to cook due to being game hung and free range. We do review cooking times but have used these times for the last 8 years however in light of your email we will of course review our cooking guidelines with the professional chef who supports us with this before next year. We will be in touch with you to pick this up with you. Many thanks Herb Fed

“Thank you. It was excellent. Arrived in good time as promised. Nicely packed and presented. Very tasty. First time we've had just a breast & leg meat but it was just the right amount for us. Would definitely buy again.”

“We bought a 2 - 2.5kg boned and rolled turkey breast and leg roast. The actual weight was just under 2.5kg and it was perfect for six generous portions with just a bit left over. We picked up the boxed turkey a few days before Christmas, very straight-forward. The included cooking instructions worked well and the meat was great. Easy to carve, moist and very nice flavour. We'll stick to the same plan again next year I think. Thank you.”

Hi Jackie, While our Christmas roosters are a special bird produced only once a year and have won many awards we are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with yours. We will come back to under separate email to get a better understanding if that is ok. Many thanks Herb Fed

“Utterly fabulous. Ordered the Xmas turkey from Herb Fed for the first time this year after having used Rhug Estate for many years. I paid significantly less than I’m used to parting with and was a little nervous the bird wouldn’t be if the same high quality. And it wasn’t... IT WAS EVEN BETTER. Juicy, tender, flavourful meat from a whopping great show-stopping bird. Herb-Fed you have my custom for as long as you raise turkeys. Thank you!”
