“The chicken was very good much tastier than supermarket chicken, and the parcel arrived on time, good service. I hope you will try to use less plastic in the packaging, although I realise you have to keep the meat cold.”

“Our family have enjoyed your produce from the Minskip farmshop, prior to our visit to site last week. We all think your chickens lead a longer, very happy, healthy life and that translates fundamentally into a very tasty meal! Absolutely delicious! We’ll be visiting again! “I really like the ethics behind this company. Previously I have not been buying chicken because of welfare issues. But with one problem solved another appears and that is of course the necessary plastic packaging required to post this product. I will be looking into visiting the farm, as not too far away from me and bulk buying.”

Hi Rachel, Many thanks for your review. You would be more than welcome to come and have a look around the farm. Please just get in touch. An eco-version of our packaging is something we are looking into but as you can imagine ensuring the chicken arrives in perfect condition is a priority and so it is tricky and time consuming trying to find a high performance green option. If you are local buying in bulk or even just collecting from us would reduce the packaging. we look forward to seeing you soon. Emma

“I would recommend Herb Fed Chicken to all who wants the flavour of chicken of old. Really different - tasty and succulent - no water when cooking. The postage was £12 but was the same for several items ordered. The package was well insulated with ice packs and delivered on time. Great service. Thank you for my BBQ starter pack that came free with the GYS offer - delighted!”

“THERE CHICKENS ARE JUST WONDERFUL,VERY FULL BODY AND OH SO TASTEY. I GO IN TO PANIC MODE IF I HAVE NONE IN MY FREEZER,WE HAVE BEEN BUYING THEM FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS.WOULD I BUY ANY OTHER CHICKENS THE SIMPLE ANSWER TO THAT IS NO NO NO .THEY ARE NOT CHEAP ,BUT VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.”

“Chickens actually have a great taste unlike those from supermarkets. Even night end supermarket chickens can't match herb fed from this company. I won't buy from anywhere else and the spring chicken boxes and chopped leg meat is excellent.”
