“I have purchased this chicken at our local butchers previously but they stopped selling it a while ago. After trying several other brands of free range chicken which did not meet my expectations I have returned to Herb Fed. I purchased a mixed box, not disappointed with the content and quality of this chicken. Ordering online was easy and delivery was made as promised with the contents arriving well packed and chilled. Will certainly be ordering again.”

“Good quality, tasty chicken! Really nice to support a farm trying to do things responsibly and happily. Was great too that all my chickens were above the weight I’d chosen. Will definitely be getting more when I’ve eaten through all these!”

“This is some very tasty chicken. The whole bird was particularly nice. I wish they’d found a less wasteful way of packaging it, but of course with raw flesh safety is paramount.”

“The communication about delivery time was excellent. The packaging was excellent, with the chicken delivered very cold, even in summer. The product itself was also excellent. I bought 12kg of chicken thighs and I was so pleased with the quality, so much higher than supermarkets sell. I will definitely purchase again.”

“a great idea to buy free range herb fed poultry unfortunately this company has never heard of the climate crisis, about how plastic is destroying our oceans. they sent me my product wrapped in a tsunami of plastic. I have NEVER seen anything like it. I cut one clear plastic bag open and in side was another I cut that open inside was another and so it went on like a Russian fabusae egg unbelievable. I was not expecting this from this company ironic and sad. I would say however that the meat was good. nothing wrong there, just won't use them again because I don't need to kill the planet to eat.”

Thank you for your feedback - We are really pleased you enjoyed our chicken. Our packaging is something that we are looking into as we are conscious of the planet and our footprint. It is something that is proving tricky in terms of balancing performance of keeping poultry chilled in summer during delivery and in perfect condition versus costs. There are some wonderful products on the market but the costs are very high currently and would make an order cost prohibitive for many. If you often shop on line and receive chilled goods we would love to hear what packaging is being used so we can improve - please don't hesitate to email us: info@herbfed.co.uk many thanks again, Emma
