“Now sold on the easy option of the boned and booted variety. No more faffing around with a huge carcass.....and getting up early to whack it in the oven/constant checking. Made life infinitely easier! But mostly I recommend the meat itself which was delicious and remained moist... Full marks..”

“Excellent delivery arrangements and well packaged to keep fresh , nice to get giblets very tasty bird with plenty of meat , my only concern was wing was broken and I’m hoping the bird was not roughly handled prior to dispatch often a feature of cheap Tesco chicken”

“I wanted a capon for a change from turkey this Christmas. In my fruitless search I came across Herb Fed on the web and went from there and ordered a rooster. It arrived in perfect condition when they said it would. It was a delicious alternative to turkey and I prefer it. I would thoroughly recommend a Herb Fed rooster.”

“Although our cockerel was delivered a day late, any anxiety was quickly averted as the bird was well packed and the ice lock included to keep it cool remained frozen. We brined our bird for a day before roasting (we followed a recipe from Farmdrop, although without any bacon) and it really couldn't have been more moist and delicious. It was not difficult or time consuming. We will be back for more.”

“I was so impressed by your rooster. Wonderfully tasty, and I really appreciated being able to have it efficiently delivered to my door. This was especially so during the pandemic when I have been depending almost entirely on doorstep food deliveries, to avoid visiting shops. Even post pandemic, whenever that might be, I shall be wanting to order from you again. Congratulations on excellent produce and efficient service”

“The turkey arrived on time well packaged and presented. It was really delicious and wonderfully moist. I did think that your cooking times were a bit on the short side but having cooked over50 Christmas dinners that was no problem! I will be ordering from you again next year! Thank you.”

“Very good turkey : the breast and leg roll was great for us this time and now I would consider it again! I used the Ottolenghi recipe for turkey breast which has a great marinade - different with Middle Eastern flavours.”
