I learnt a lot and it was easy to talk to her, it was a very good experience
I highly recommend Helen based on my personal experience. Helen was quick to respond to my original enquiry and I was a able to secure an appointment within a few days. Right from the start, and throughout my appointments, Helen was extremely professional, warm and genuine which helped me to trust her very quickly and hence felt I could be totally open about what was going on for me. Helen listened with empathy and encouraged me to analyse my own situation and consider options which really worked for me. She also offered some helpful tips and techniques and offered reassurance. As we brought the consultations to a close, Helen offered some great options for me to use going forward so I can take ownership and greater care of my mental health in the future. Thank you Helen for care and support during a difficult period.
I worked with Helen over a long period of time and her support was invaluable in helping me to learn, understand and put into practice on a daily basis the skills I need to stay well whilst managing a chronic mental health condition. Her approach and ability to build a good rapport has meant she is one of the best mental health professionals I have been in contact with. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I found Helen to be extremely professional, understanding, and encouraging throughout the course of our sessions together. I would highly recommend her to anybody who is considering counselling or psychotherapy.

Helen has been very supportive and given me some great encouragement and guidance over the last few months. We have worked on brilliant techniques to help manage my anxiety and use effective methods through trial and error to see what works best for me. Our sessions have been effective and given me a new way of thinking and really helped me, my anxiety and OCD is now better controlled and Not controlling me. Thank you Helen.
Following a considerable setback and some big life changes, I was feeling very low, anxious and in despair, struggling to find the drive to even put one foot in front of the other to walk to work or to the supermarket. It was then that I started to see Helen. She was empathetic, kind, attentive and helped me to keep the focus during our sessions. Each time, Helen gave me the chance to adjust our agenda to my needs and to review my progress and goals. The simple "tools" she taught me and the constant encouragement were quite helpful in my gradual improvement.
I recently had a couple of appointments with Helen recently, which is all that was needed, to give me the confidence to go forwards and not remain in past repetitive ways. Helen although very professional, is warm and caring. Thank you Helen, you really have helped alot
I found Helen by chance on a local search among a lot of other professionals but contacted her as her CV was extensive and she seemed passionate about what she did. Helen was also quick to respond (which is very much appreciated) and found time to suit us both to meet.

Helen was professional yet personable, and always found a good balance of listening vs talking. Helen is not a ‘computer says no’ kind of therapist but instead thinks outside the box and tailors the meetings to your agenda. I found Helen’s input was very relevant to my specific situation.

Overall I was very pleased with Helens support and I wouldn’t hesitate to contact her again if I needed help.
From day one, Helen created a safe, compassionate and judgement-free environment for us to work in. She is warm and so kind yet her professionalism never wavered. I always felt she knew exactly what to say and gave me the space to share any aspect of myself. After two and a half years of working together, I am more stable and healthy than I have ever been and no longer identify as having Borderline Personality Disorder. Quite simply, Helen helped me to heal and showed me my life is worth living. The gratitude I feel is immeasurable. She is honestly remarkable.
Helen was excellent, very knowledgeable and tailored treatment to what I needed, which ended up different from my original referral. It felt from the outset she understood what treatment I needed and adjusted sessions accordingly. She was also very flexible and understanding on arranging session times-taking into account my childcare commitments.
Having been for other counselling in the past, I found Helen very easy to talk to and understanding. She was always very prepared for my sessions and has given me the confidence to deal with the issues from my past. I would definitely recommend Helen.

After 7 failed years of therapy, I came to Helen in a really bad place about three years ago with my Borderline Personality/Emotional Intensity (as Helen and I prefer to call it!) Disorder and various other mental health issues. It's no exaggeration that along with my sustained hard work and commitment to managing my conditions, Helen saved my life. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat and wish her all in the best in the future.

Working with Helen has totally changed my life. An incident had occurred in my childhood and I had let it permeate all aspects of my life...work, relationships, money...to the point that I had setup my life to be permanently in flight mode. It was exhausting. Helen was patient with me and gradually helped me deal with the historic incident so I could settle down and start putting down roots. I feel much happier and calmer and more able to face the face the future now.
Throughout our sessions together, Helen combined a range of different approaches to enable me to identify and understand the root causes of my issues and to find resolutions and coping mechanisms. As someone who has previously had difficulty discussing personal issues, I quickly felt able to trust Helen based on her knowledge of how to help and her empathy with the issues I shared, as well as her ability to create a compassionate and non-judgemental environment. Most recently Helen gave me the confidence to undertake EMDR therapy, guiding and empowering me to work through the process. As a result of Helen’s support, I now have a more positive and balanced perspective and fundamentally feel at peace with myself. I am very grateful to Helen for the difference she has made to me and my life and I would definitely recommend Helen to anyone seeking support.
Working with Helen over several months enabled me to identify and understand the underlying issues I had which were affecting my mental wellbeing. Through being able to finally open up to someone about my life experiences and current state of mind we worked well together to establish and understand how and why it was I found myself in need of guidance. I found it surprisingly easy to talk with Helen. Helen showed real empathy with what I was going through and the impact it was having on family and work. I had been initially reluctant to seek such help as for a long time I believed that therapy simply ‘was not for me’. I am in Helen’s debt for the advice and practical knowledge I have been given. I am in a much better place mentally and with a new found confidence and understanding I have been able to open up about my wellbeing to family and friends.
Helen was extremely helpful and understanding. She helped me work through a lot of issues I'd been having; specifically the EMDR processing of past trauma was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone seeking help with mental health issues.
