“Booked to go Friday to Sunday Friday we could not travel due to storm and were refused refund from apartments did receive refund for pub crawl which was ok! But disappointed the apartments would not refund and when we said we would still travel up then we were told no!We travelled up on Saturday and had few things booked first two things were fab but then it was dinner time and part of our package was dinner at slug and lettuce. We arrived at the slug and lettuce George Street to be told was changed to the omni centre and then when we arrived at the omni centre we were told the George Street restaurant had phoned ahead to say to refuse entry as someone was drunk! Which was not the case we were merry but we were on a hen weekend and we booked through hangover weekends so I do not know what was expected! They were then trying to refuse refund for our food and make up lies about how we were behaving! Was very disappointed and it put a dampener on the weekend! We did eventually get our money back after strong worded emails!”

Thank you for the review, we do appreciate all feedback and take on board anything constructive. I would just like to correct a few untruths in this particular review: We are very sorry that the storm interrupted your travel plans, of course this was out of anyone's control and as per our T&C's any disruption to travel must be covered by adequate travel/holiday insurance. Unfortunately its not incumbent on the accommodation to offer a refund because of travel disruption I'm afraid. In regards to your meal, this was ALWAYS booked into the S&L Omni centre, no correspondence was sent otherwise and your Final details / Map / addresses were correct from the 18th December. Unfortunately you went to the wrong venue. In regards to being turned away for being too drunk, this is down to the discretion of the management at said venue. They did however offer you a full refund subsequently for the meal, ( There was no mention of them not doing so, we were just going through the necessary procedures ) To summarise, I'm really sorry that A) your travel on day 1 was disrupted by the storm. B) That your group went to the wrong venue contrary to the information you were sent. Finally to add a response from the Lead Booker: "Thank you again for sourcing a refund for us, it’s appreciated. And I’d like to thank you again for putting the hen weekend together for us, apart from the slug and lettuce experience the weekend was fantastic." Andy HW

“Had to isolate as mother tested positive for covid and was told I could not get a refund. Even though the government had told me I had to isolate, circumstances out of my control. I was the one that lost out, hangover weekends just kept all my money Very poor service, won’t ever be using this service again, my friends all agree to use a different provider in the future”

Hi Josh, thanks for the review. I am sorry that we couldnt redeem any money for you. At such short notice we had to ask suppliers whether they were willing, as a good will gesture, to refund any money. Unfortunately as we suspect this kind of thing is going to happen frequently, they had to sitck to their T&C's. As we state on our website, we strongly advise, as per any Travel guidelines, that our groups have the correct travel insurance to cover such circumstances. Unfortunately if you did have the correct travel insurance you would have been able to get a refund, and of course we would have provided any evidence needed for the case. I dont feel therefore that your review is a valid one, as this isnt in our control, and would be grateful if you would consier revising your review? I know as per feedback from your group that attended the stag, that they "all had a fantastic time", and we provided them with a great stag do. Andy HW

“The Partners they use for the Stag Weekend were fantastic. Couldn't fault them. I'm not actually sure what Hangover Weekends does but for advertising the possible activities to do in the area. Not a single bar/ club in Newcadtle recognised the 'drinks/ entey band' that Hangover Weekend provided.. The 'Dentist Chair' that was to happen at 6 o clock never happened as apparently we had to be there beofre 3pm. 3pm! I find this hard to understand since Hangover Weekends knew that we would be in the middle of Go Karting at 3 pm. As I said, the Partners involved were great. What little hangover weekend LSC had to do they did extremely poorly and I wouldn't advise other to use them for their 'service'.”

Hi Joe, I'm sure you can see that Oliver Bramley has already left a review below from your group which we have responded to. We have also spoken with the organiser of the stag party regarding any issues. As you mentioned above you are more than happy with the activities that you attended which is great. However your negative points seem to be down to a lack of communication. The Dentist chair states online that he takes place during the day, and you didn't have any wristbands in your package, I'm not sure where you acquired these from but we didn't send these to you? With regards to the package, you booked a Hotel, Quad Biking, Bars, nightclub. Which you have mentioned you couldn't fault the hotel or activities therefore I fail to see how this can reflect a 1 star review. Hangover Weekends
