Down To Earth is a multi-disciplined company offering specialist arboricultural contracting and consultancy throughout Kent and South East London.

Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“We had a very large ash tree removed that was down the bottom end of our garden. We need not have worried, the team were very professional. They dug up plants and moved pots that were in the way covered up the shed so it didn't get damaged. When it was all over our garden (apart from the tree), looked exactly as it did. I can't praise them enough and will definitely use them again and have recommended them to our neighbours.”

“The crew visited us on the hottest day of the year. We were very impressed with the speed and efficiency with which they removed or shaped our trees and shrubs. It was no easy task in that heat in all their gear. We will be calling them again next year. Many thanks.”

“I had some tree work completed last week and was very pleased with the standard of work and the professionalism shown by the Crew. The Crew took great care not to damage our lawn or the large pavers set into the lawn, whilst working. When the work was completed the area was cleared of any debris. I would definitely use Down to Earth in the future and have no hesitation in recommending them.”

“Down to Earth took down a pine tree which had outgrown its location in my small crowded garden, then ground out the stump. The whole process was accomplished very efficiently and the debris removed without any damage to my plants or pots. A very impressive, professional and friendly experience from start to finish. Would definitely use again.”

“We had a 50/60 ft conifer with 2 trunks that had died and need to be taken down.An excellent team arrived putting matting down to protect the lawn and dealt with it most efficiently.”

“The team turned up at 8am as agreed. They were polite and explained that they would be obeying the social distancing rules, therefore not accepting any drinks etc. They were a team of three and worked so physically hard and efficiently. Yes there was a lot of mess, (we ensured we cleared our garden prior to arrival). They did however tidy up To a high standard. Garden raked, leaf blower used and patio hosed down. This is the second time we have used them and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again in the future. Thank you very much. Very impressed.”

“Have had our beautiful tree reduced in size again but keeping its shape, a three year cycle and this is the third time this company has completed the work for us. “Had our usual bi-annual work done yesterday and as always I am really pleased. It was a delight to meet the team in these troubled times. I must add that the site was left absolutely spotless - well done! Also the office back up is very efficient.”

“They were called in to remove a fallen cedar tree branch in the churchyard. The huge branch was removed efficiently and the tree was expertly stabilised and lightened. All timber was removed and the site was left clean and tidy. I would highly recommend this team.”

“Excellent job done of topping 3 mature poplar trees and pruning back all the side shoots in a stiff east wind with the trees in full leaf, as the work could not be completed on original date due to lockdown. Fascinating to watch the team of three, and garden immaculately cleared afterwards. I and both neighbours would heartily recommend Down to Earth”

“I was so impressed with the level of professionalism. The guys were superb, and today removed 6 leilandii from my property, plus trimmed back another Such a genuinely nice team, who were fascinating to watch (from a safe distance!). They clearly know what they're doing, and I was so impressed with how efficient and swift everything went. The weather was horrible, but it didn't seem to dampen their spirits at all, and they were so lovely I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. They even tackled a little Ash tree sapling that had managed to get a tap root under my doorstep after I pointed it out and asked if they had any advice on how I can remove it myself. I wasn't expecting it, but they didn't even hesitate, and just grabbed a spade and dug it up! It was such a nice gesture and hugely appreciated. Thank you!!”
