“Green Gardener Good. Products?? SB plant invigorator useless against greenfly on hibiscus in conservatory. I'm now about to order Aphidius and probably Lacewing and Ladybird larvae as well. Encarsia was good last year but whitefly have already appeared again. Lawn repair sticks v.slow to germinate but eventually came good. Patch magic much better.”

Thanks for the message and at the time of your order Adult Vine Weevil Traps were not available as they are a perishable item and should not be used until the Adult Vine Weevils are active, so delivery was arranged for w/c 03/06 as this is the ideal time to position them. We do now have them available, so did you want to stick with the w/c 03/06 date already arranged or do you have active adult vine weevils now and if so there is no problem sending it sooner - please email me as well on jon@greengardener.co.uk Kind regards Jon @ Green Gardener

“They arrived quickly and in good condition. Still badly infested with aphids, although the ladybirds did a good job on the rose Bush I put them on, some aphids have come back to it. I think I need 500 ladybirds for my garden! It's really bad this year. Thinking of buying a ladybird lodge to breed them!”

“I have been buying Vine Weevil Nematodes for a good few years now and they work. Last year I bought Nematodes for scale insects for the first time. Although I failed to follow the instructions fully, this spring is the first year the climber has been almost clear of insects, looks very green and healthy. Another product I will be buying regularly, (and using properly!) Reliable deliveries. Good products.”

“The ladybird larvae arrived promptly, they were minute which I assume is because early in the season. However, when I read the instructions I realised that there was no point buying them, as they advise not to release them where farmer ants have colonised the plant. ALL my shrubs have farmer ants. Why would green gardener only tell you this after you have bought them and not before? Presumably because it would greatly affect sales. This is tantamount to false advertising. Also they sell the larvae with or without release bags, but if you don't purchase bags it is impossible to get the larvae to stay on the plants in windy weather. You are told to place them on the lower leaves but the confetti-like paper either blows away or drops to the ground. I fashioned my own bags but there is now no sign of larvae but plenty of aphids and ants! What a waste of money...you have to be green indeed to buy this, in the sense of inexperienced and naive...I will know better next time.”

“Very good service and delivery, with clear instructions on how to use and store Nematodes. Given the climatic vagaries and other natural effects I guess its a bit of a leap of faith that Nematodes will work on my plot but I am a believer and have found they do reduce slugs in the past.”

“Items (ladybirds) were dispatched promptly, arrived healthy, all alive. I may have ordered them too early, before aphids appeared so there was nothing to tempt them to stay. Hopefully someone is benefitting from them.”
