“I've ordered ladybird larvae before and this time decided to get a rearing kit. Though the first batch did nothing, they kindly sent me a replacement l batch which produced lots of eggs and are now chomping their way through the greenfly on my pear tree. Fascinating !”

“I ordered a bag of ladybird larvae to help my poor little crabapple tree which was suffering under a huge infestation of greenfly. All the new leaves were withering. I didn't want to use poison and I didn't want to harm the ants who were farming them, just to redirect them and to save the tree I only planted the previous year. Well, when I saw how tiny they were I was a bit skeptical because I couldn't believe they could eat more than one greenfly eat and there were billions but wow!! They did the job! It was really incredible. I actually saw one of the larvae after a bit of time had passed and it was so much bigger after all its feasting. The leaves look recovered and the greenfly are almost gone. I think the tree can cope with the odd few, just not the heavy infestation there was previously. They really did an excellent job. I also followed the advice about putting vaseline on the tree trunk (and I squirted a tiny bit of washing up liquid on the vaseline as well as the ants were still walking into it at first) to stop the ants from climbing up the tree to farm the aphids/greenfly and protecting them from the ladybird larvae. I told the ants they are welcome elsewhere in the garden, but they aren't allowed in the tree because their farming methods are causing damage. They have agreed to keep to other areas and we are all happy now.”

“despatch and delivery of products is good. However I am still to be convinced that the products actually work, I have invested considerably in trying to addres Vine Weevil with traps and numerous orders of nematodes even the See No Weevil. All my plants leaves are still getting eaten by adult weevils. I applied twice during autumn last year, and 3 times during spring and just recently”

“After more than a week my nematode order had failed to arrive and we shortly due to depart on holiday. I contacted Green Gardener's customer service. There was absolutely no quibble and they immediately despatched a replacement pack, which arrived within 48 hours. Royal Mail did eventually deliver the original pack, about a month after it was ordered and by which time the use by date had long expired. My only other observation is that it did take several attempts before I could get past the GG answering service to speak to someone. However, in spite of this slight problem, I'd happily use their services again.”

“I tried these in my garden to deal with a honeysuckle that had been attacked by woolly aphids. Speedy delivery, good instructions and two weeks later the aphids have been beaten off completely! It needs to be warm enough for the larvae if you're using them outdoors, but other than that this method works a treat, even the constant rain did not bother them.”
