“A good service from Green Gardener but a poor service from the Royal Mail who only delivered our nematodes two days before the product expiry date despite being dispatched in plenty of time.”

“Interesting range of products. They are not cheap and the gardener should assess whether the treatment indicated is worthwhile compared to chucking out the affected plants and buying new ones. The gardener needs to review the product guidance notes very carefully, especially with regards to the viable temperature range of these living organisms.”

“It would be nice if more of the two ingredients could be bought separately as they will of course run out in time: everything else is effectively just ‘packaging’ and an unnecessary extra cost.”

“I was very worried when I was asked to write this review because I had requested a delayed delivery in the following week - however the delivery was indeed accurate in the next week and everything was well packaged as usual with great products immediately put to work! But please get the review request better coordinated to be post delivery to save us a bout of angst!”

“Good to find a supplier of organic autumn/winter lawn feed, of which there don't seem to be many. Have used product and so far it seems to have made the lawn really healthy. But could you please find a better courier? Five days after Green Gardener told us goods had been dispatched, got text from Royal Mail saying package should arrive next morning (but couldn't guarantee), which but it didn't. Got another text next day at 07.00hrs saying they had been unable to deliver our package today (think they meant yesterday!), then one saying it would be delivered that day (again couldn't guarantee), which it wasn't. Finally pgot a text the next day saying it would arrive that day and, 3rd time lucky, it did. Never had this sort of problem with other courier companies.”

“Delivered on time---important as these are live bugs for lawn leatherjacket treatment. Await results. One issue---the coarse rose supplied would not fit any plastic watering can I tried it on--what is it supposed to fit? Resorted to gaffer tape.”

“Received my order promptly (two days) but it didn't include any insulation or cooling agent and my five packets were warm due to the heat wave. Is that ok? Applied that night as per instructions including a sample with chafer grubs present. No deaths so far?”

“I have used GG's Nemaslug for several years and they have been very effective in keeping slugs and snails under control in my borders. This time I bought Nemasys ant nematodes too, but was surprised to find when opening the packet that they do not actually kill the pests (unlike the slug type), which I don't think was clear on the website. They are simply a deterrent, to persuade the ants to move their nest elsewhere, which is not very helpful in a big garden. And then you have to ensure the ant's nests are moist before application, and remain moist for 2 weeks after application. I ordered the nematodes for when a rainy period was forecast, but they arrived after it had passed the Met Office forecast was a bit off). It's too early to say whether they have been effective, but if they are as good as Nemaslug I'll be happy. That said, the packet delivered by Royal Mail was hot to the touch when pushed through the letterbox - presumably from sitting in hot vans for hours - and both products need to be cool (you have to store them in the fridge until you use them) - so I hope they were still alive when I applied them.”

“I bought nematodes to hopefully take care of our significant box caterpillar issue. Ordering was easy, delivery quick. We are two out of three applications in and there is definitely progress. If the problem is fully resolved after the third spray, I shall upgrade this review to 5 stars!”
