I ordered leatherjacket treatment for now and, in error, for November. I cancelled half the order in good time by email but the order was not changed and I received no reply to my email.

I would write a review if I had received the goods I ordered sometime ago which have still not arrived even taking into consideration the present climate!!

Thanks for the message and we have Nemasys Leatherjacket Killer in stock so you can have it anytime you want HOWEVER we recommend treating in April and or September as this is when the leatherjackets are active, close to the surface and the soil is warm so the nematodes will be the most effective. However if the soil is warm enough i.e. you need a daytime soil temp of 10c, you can treat anytime i.e. now? Let me know if you want to stick with the recommended April dispatch or if you want it posting ASAP. Kind regards Jon @ Green Gardener

Ordered a greenhouse waited for over a week nothing only when I made a phone call told it had not been dispatched .eventually received it nice product shame about the service service

Thanks for the review but we do not sell Greenhouses so I think this must have been someone else? We sent you the Nemasys Vine Weevil Killer a couple of weeks ago?

Even though I ma following the application instructions to the letter, the treatment does not seem to work in getting rid of the ants nests.

Thanks for the message and sorry that the treatment is not working for you. The nematodes work by killing the eggs and larvae and work as an irritant to the adult ants, so once you apply it you may see an increase in activity in the short term as they "move away". Try and keep the area moist and make sure that the nests are thoroughly soaked so the nematodes can soak in the nest. I see you have now applied the 2nd or 3 treatments are the results from the next application any more encouraging? Would it be OK to ring you to see if I can help further? It was o.k. But with the last order I included a rose for my watering can with larger holes to accommodate the nematodes. Firstly it did not fit any f the three cans that I have, and it turns out was very expensive compared to what is available quite widely. I rang to complain, the complaint was dealt with very competently and a return label supplied, I sent it back that day but despite emailing you I have still not had a credit on my debit card.

I had an infestation of caterpillars on my roses, so wrote asking if ladybirds or their larvae would be best. I got a rapid response - good - recommending larvae. What I then received for my money was a small plastic box containing a lot of shredded paper and some tiny black dots. Impossible to extract them to get them onto the roses; impossible to get them or the shredded paper actually onto the affected leaves. I ended up emptying the shreds of paper over my rose bush. I now have a half-eaten rose bush adorned with shredded paper.

Thanks for the message and at the time of your order Adult Vine Weevil Traps were not available as they are a perishable item and should not be used until the Adult Vine Weevils are active, so delivery was arranged for w/c 03/06 as this is the ideal time to position them. We do now have them available, so did you want to stick with the w/c 03/06 date already arranged or do you have active adult vine weevils now and if so there is no problem sending it sooner - please email me as well on jon@greengardener.co.uk Kind regards Jon @ Green Gardener

Poor and indifferent customer service. I ordered and paid for two items, only one arrived and with no information available either on greengardener.com website or an explanatory email I telephoned. I was told that 'despatch messed up' no explanation nor apology was given, I then asked how the situation could be resolved and was told that the missing item would be sent out next week. It was 10:45 on Friday morning and as the listake was green gardener's I felt justified in asking if the item could be sent out that day, after consultaion with A.N.Other I was told that was not possible. I, politely, asked whether this could be reconsidered or at least first class post could be used but was advised 'no'. I was 'delighted' when the article did arrive the following week....by first class post. I shall not use greengardener.com again nor reccomend them - they could have redeemed themselves by apologising for the error and explaining why someone could not pack a small item for same day despatch.

Dear Marylou W, thank you for the review and as a family business which prides itself on its customer service I am deeply concerned by your comments. Firstly can I apologise. I would have expected just like you did that we would have held our hands up and posted the missing item same day by 1st class post, so I will find out why this did not happen. My name is Jonathan and I am the son of John the original Green Gardener and I have now taken over. Firstly I have refunded you in full for your order by way of an apology. I will also find out who dealt with your enquiry and make sure they are re-trained as to how to deal with an enquiry like this. We have spent years building up the business and our customer service has always been one of the reasons why people come back to us year after year. They didn't respond to my query regarding flea nematodes despite stating that they provide support via email; so I'm a bit diappointed. Unfortunately I've not been able to find an alternative seller of flea nematodes so have had to reluctantly purchase from them a second time. Fleas are a big problem in my back garden due to having lots of stray cats visiting so having to try multiple methods to keep the fleas at bay. I'm hopefull that they will work but can't say for definite.

I ordered a garden treatment using nematodes from them which arrived a bit late but did not seem to mix as described. I emailed them a complaint and a suggestion and have not had a reply. Disappointed so far. 2 other wildlife products for seem fine and well made.

The service was good but unfortunately the products were less than satisfactory. I originally ordered 25 ladybirds to help me deal with a spider mite infestation however only 2 were alive. I then spoke to someone at Green Gardener and they were really helpful and said they'll send me 100 ladybird larvae which should do the trick. Sadly there must have only been about 10 in the box, with only a few alive. So needless to say, it did not do the trick and I've had to revert to poison which I was really trying to avoid!

I ordered the professional ladybird kit to cultivate and produce ladybirds but when the kit arrived more than half of the ladybirds were already dead which was disappointing. I managed to get some ladybird produced from the remainder but not that many. So I didn’t get a great experience from this product.

Thanks for the message and sorry that the ladybirds did not perform for you - they are normally very reliable and very successful. I suspect they must have been delayed in the post for them to have arrived in less than perfect condition - sorry. I would love you to have another go to get a positive experience this time? The ladybirds I bought were really, really hard to get on to the plants, didn't seem to stay long and didn't make much difference to the number of aphids. If I buy again, I'll get ladybird larvae.

I selected a dispatch date of 11th June 2018, because we were both away the week previously. The larvae were delivered on 5th June. By the time we’d got home late on 8th June, most of the larvae were dead. I think this is very poor for a company that keeps and sells livestock. The only reason I gave the rating of Poor, rather than Very Poor, is because my complaint was dealt with reasonably.

What would your post person do with a package that would not fit through the letterbox? Can you see if it has been left somewhere safe and then check with your local sorting office as 99% of the time where this happens, it is normally sitting down the post office awaiting collection as it will not fit through the letterbox and the card has either not been left or has been lost. The ladybird kit was poor value and poorly packed. It arrived with one side crushed. Annoying particularly as it is a birthday present for my granddaughter.
