“We live in rural Worcestershire and I came across the site and posted a job Saturday evening to start the next day and had almost an instant reply which was brilliant and got the job done !”

“I hired two people. One was brilliant. Unfortunately the other one didn't respond when l tried to check with him the day before and did not turn up. Since l needed the two l had hired to work together lifting heavy items, this completely let me down. Fortunately l was able to find another person, but this unreliability causes me to question whether l could risk using Grafter again.”

Hi Richard, We are sorry you had this bad experience. Unfortunately sometimes people do let both you and us down, either through Grafter or otherwise. Anyone who behaves like this (unless a genuine excuse) will be removed from the service and will not allowed to apply for another job. Regards Grafter

“Grafter is a great concept. It does seem to Taylor jobs to requirements reasonably well. And on the one occasion I have completed work through the platform has been seamless. As a web developer I am not 100% keen on the UI. Email notifications include no information as to which job/client is being notified which although not necessary would be nice. And the site does seem to have quite a short user session so constantly logging back in. Especially when tied with the lack of information in the email notifications. An iOS app would be nice. When I originally signed up there was one. Perhaps apples payment model wasn’t viable, if so maybe hook in to browser notifications and persist the users logged in state. There is no clear link of the job to the person you are messaging to UX requires a sharp memory or constant back and forth between jobs and messages.”

“Payment and contact was easy online. Can't make any changes online after booking is made so had to email customer services. Worked also changed hours during the job which they shouldn't be allowed as they don't have the insurance cover. Start and finish time would be a great addition, like a timesheet so it is easier for hirer to pay for what they received.”
