“I arranged for a policy through a market comparison website where I filled in an online application for insurance for a new motorcycle. I received an email that pointed to an attachment that didn't exist and became apprehensive so looked the company up, having not taken out insurance of this type for a long time. I then found this website and decided to ask for a cancellation, which should have been and was painless as my insurance was post-dated and hadn't kicked in. A full refund was provided painlessly with a few days; I do not expect next responses to that type of request. I'd be more positive in the number of stars given if I hadn't had the initial poor email that triggered my response.”
“I've been with them for about 6 months, cheap and I haven't experienced a single problem so all of the negative reviews were surprising to me. Although will see how it goes when I cancel my policy next week because I'm getting a new car”
“Go skippy have to be the worst insurance provider I have ever been with .
Before the due date of renewal I contacted them to make sure they had all the information necessary, to which they said yes , I explained I had endorsements, and how I got them . This was not a problem they said and the insurance would start as said .
A week into the insurance came a letter to pay a further £69 + fee because I had endorsements, basically I had no choice to pay it you know how it goes . Hours of trying to sort it out with no results and only an email address and a mobile number to someone trying to speak English”
“Hard work at first, kept saying they hadn't received my documents via email, had to phone them a few times but got sorted eventually and had no further problems. Very hard to understand there customer service team on the phone very noisy background.”
“Although it prob best in value I did find frustrating that I had to ring to find out who road side recovery was with as not stated in policy... Plus when I did go online to find out it was said that company after Sept changed contracts to rac(who c were great) but there was no notice or email or letter .”
“Wanted to simply add business to my policy but unfortunately I had to cancel my policy and take a new one out. The new quote went from approximately £600.00 to over £2000.00 which I really cannot understand nor justify. It also took me an hour each time just to reach an advisor and waited over three days to be contacted back by a policy handler. Cancelled my policy straight away and took out a new policy with a different insurance provided. My new quote was £550.00 fully comprehensive with business cover.”
“Wasnt happy having to 50pound to change address and that i wasnt told that i would have topay £50 before i changed address only after the new address was given. I should have been told that i would have to pay a fee before i give the new details”
“Was ok insurance until I cancelled my car insurance and they still took payment after I cancelled with them it's not been refunded. I had one reminder to pay outstanding money owing from when I cancelled that i would if paid if it was sent to my new address not my old address which I didn't receive obversly and then it was sent to debt collectors when they could of rang or emailed me but failed to do so. As a customer who's never missed a payment and been with them for quite some time I wasn't treated at all fairly. So I won't ever be going back to them.”
“When trying to change my vehicle I tried 4 times and only finally got through after nearly an hour on hold at my expense, but if I wanted to make a payment I got right through to someone. More interested in collecting money than helping existing customers. When my insurance is up I wont be going with Go Skippy.”
“I have recently passed my test an this is the first insurance company I have been with, definitely cheap price but I must say the customer service is very poor, I just got off the phone to possibly the rudest customer pservice advisor I've ever had the misfortune of talking to, I get the feeling that I've entered into something too quick without doing my research, my next payment is tomorrow an I'm not looking forward to ringing them in the slightest, I was in the middle of talking an she would interrupt me every time, you ring for customer service it says "I'm sorry where having a considerable amount of calls coming through but you can contact us online" so I hung up an said I was making a payment an straight away I got an advisor or should I say an Indian woman who interrupted me because there was a language barrier, cheap but remember you get what you pay for guys because clearly I was wrong, get the feeling if ever I have to make a claim there not going to be that easy to get hold of.”
“They had offered me a better deal over the phone before I bought the policy..and I went ahead and purchased it without getting finding out what it was thinking that I can change it to whatever better they may offer later ...but later I was told that it cannot or they won't change it cause i've already signed up!”
“They tried to scam me at the beginning by telling me i had made a discrepancy on my policy. It was not me who had made any errors, they deliberately changed the licence held for dates and tried to pin it on me so that i will have to pay a charge. Luckily i defended myself and had evidence to prove they made the errors intentionally. Best to avoid this company.”
“My insurance monthly is cheap but for customer service is poor I'm waiting for a call back from about 3 weeks ago now not very helpful can't leave till 12 months is up as I will get charged”
