“As a company service was excellent , I got good friendly help on the phone, and a good delivery service . A great company to buy from and deal with . The door I ordered is the cheapest and it shows , the horizontal panels are open at the sides they light and rain in at the edges water pools ot base of door in bad weather Fitting instructions were poor , if your a diy person you would struggle in use the Novatherm Merlin canopy door is sprung heavily at closing point to allow enough tension to open properly , with a poor latch system operation , the door doesn’t open fully horizontal , it has stops in the runners about 100mm before it’s fully open and level , worst of all the horizontal panels have huge gaps where they meet the frame sides , it lets light and draught in and in windy weather the rain is also forced in , see photo I wouldn’t recomend this door at all My 30 plus year old Garador mk3 in my another garage is much better .”

“The door purchased is acceptable for the price paid. The down side to the design of the door is the fact that where the panels fit inside the frame there is a gap so any wind when raining forces the rain through the gaps into the garage. The lock does not seem to fit the hole pressed into the frame well - it looks like the frame was designed for another lock of a slightly different size. What would be handy on there web site would be if it told you the minimum and maximum size of the hole you need to leave for it.”

“Measurement for door plus frame were wrong. Builder allowed an extra 32mm and the frame didn't fit. However they were able to fit frame behind brick piers and door still functions ok”

Although I am very pleased to hear the door and frame fitted on the basis you fitted the frame behind the brick work. “Very please with my Cardale Gemini door quality and the price I paid for it. Not so happy about the length of time it took to deliver it. Supposedly it was 4-6 weeks but in reality it was over 10 weeks. Fortunately for us our builder was able to install a temporary door but this could be a major issue for some people. Staff were very helpful when phoned and promised to chaise up the manufacturer who were the cause of the issue but we had to keep phoning to get an update - some unprompted feed back would have been nice.”

“I ordered the doors only last week so have not received them yet. The advertisement claimed the Naseby doors are surplus stock, yet when you order them they tell you the are being specially manufactured and will take 1-4 weeks to arrive. I am sure they will be perfect but I have yet to receive them but I am happy to wait.”

“Two reviews- one for delivery and one for the product etc. The lorry was the oldest and biggest we see in cornwall. Not drivers fault. We both had to lift the garage door and walk it 400mt to drop it in my drive-plus the chaos the lorry caused in the locallity. Sat-navs can be programmed to inform if locations are unsuitable I hope the driver is OK The door itself is very good except for the open holes down each side. The instructions are usual for any product -OF NO USE- had to phone to explain certain events (not very helpful) Have now installed the door and it is as expected (a few design faults) For the price of this door it is not to bad but a few extra £s would have made it very good. I would recommend it but witha care sign.”

In regards to deliveries, we do give this information clearly on order, you should have also received an email giving further information once ordered. We do ask that if there are any access problems to notify us in advance so that a smaller verhicle can be arranged. “The company supplying the door probably deserve a higher rating than Normal, but the manufacturers only deserve a poor rating. The ordering process was simple and it was delivered on time. However the supplier did not advise when it would be delivered and the first we knew it was being delivered was when the driver phoned to say he was on his way. he arrived on his own and I had to help unload the heavy door. It was just as well that I had fitted a garage door before and that I am an engineer as the instructions were very poor, the photographs were of very poor quality. There were omissions in the instruction sheet. One of the omissions was the second transit bolts - difficult to spot and without removing them to door would not open. The locking mechanism and catch has been modified and bears no resemblance to the instruction sheet and I don't like jigsaw puzzles. A comprehensive tool kit is required especially a 3/8 drive socket with an extension tube to remove the upper transit catches which were mentioned in the instructions. The door itself is not water / draught proof as the frame and the main panel do not mate as the main panel is corrugated. I was using it in an unexposed aspect but it certainly would not be suitable for exposure to driving rain. There should be a "filler" of some description between the two parts.”

“Not the first door we have bought we normally buy direct from cardale. Purchasing straight forward delivery always a problem but on this particular purchase no one actually told us when delivery was happening and we only found out the day after yourselves/cardale tried to deliver it to site as requested when ordered and no one was their for it as no one knew then you couldn't deliver for another week nor give us a AM or PM time slot for the only day it could be delivered so we had to take the delivery at our premises meaning we had to hire a specific size van to get it to site so loosing more of the small profit we made being swallowed up. It has put us off ordering again and also using cardale again.”

Unforutnately we cannot comment for Cardale, but we can advise that all deliveries are direct from the manufacturers. We will pass this on to have the transport team look into to avoid disapointment in the future. Delivery protocal is usually a call 24 hours before the confirmed delivery day, and then up to 1 hour before the delivery.
