“I needed a comic project printed so I went to DPI. I received some beautifully done copies of my work, with glossy paper and the lot. They were also received positively by the people I delivered some to. With future purchases of saddle-stitched books (the type with the staples in the spine), I'd like to see a bit more burnishing/flattening around the spine post-production, so that the book doesn't flop open when picked up, and that there's less of a 'gap' around the middle pages when viewed from the top and bottom. Maybe that's a particular quirk when picking DPI's default/lowest-cost options.”

Hi Leeann, Thanks for the five star review. We are delighted that both you and your customers were so impressed with your print. The process you describe for flattening the spine on saddlestitched booklets is called square backing....this is offered as standard on the site on a page count of more than 40 pages. For booklets with less pages, this isn't often needed as long as the inner paper weight isn't too light. This is maybe an option to consider when placing your next order.... “There is an old saying that goes “You can’t polish a turd”. These guys however, somehow managed to make terrible artwork legible and pretty attractive! 10/10, I’ve used their service before and will continue to do so. Pretty good value and I’m sure delivery would have been super quick if I wasn’t a clown in disguise.”
