“Ordering a cream tea by post was a nerve-wracking prospect when the recipients, my octogenarian parents, have been highly critical connoisseurs of Devon cream teas since the 1960s. What a relief then to hear their absolute delight on sampling the hamper from Devon Heaven, with descriptions of “proper strawberry jam – you can even see the fruit”, “perfect scones, not dry, they taste so fresh”, and “we finished off all the cream!” Needless to say, finding them the perfect gift has become considerably easier!”
