“Ordered a number of items for home decorating (brushes / rollers / masking tape / sanding / skuttle / filling knife). I found the website to be really informative meaning that the quality of the products ordered was exactly as required. The quality is so much better than you can get in DIY stores and the price is really competitive. I have used Decoratingdirect twice now and would recommend them to others. Please note that I have been asked to submit this review and will receive a brush for doing so. The offer has not, however, impacted on the review which I have provide which is my honest view of the service and product received.”

“We have ordered two batches of coving from Decorating Direct. On the plus side, we have been impressed by their efficiency, the speed of delivery and the excellent packaging. Both sets of coving look great in our Regency-period properties and really enhance the rooms. And, of course, no-one but us need know that they aren't made of plaster! However, we were disappointed that the Leaf Premium Coving 142 mm wide was not made of the same material as the Leaf Premium Coving 90 mm wide that we had ordered previously. Admittedly, we can see now that the description of the material is different and uses the word "polyurethane", but we naturally expected both products to be made of the same material. The 142 mm coving felt very flimsy compared with the 90 mm coving, though, as I said, the end appearance is just as good. Secondly, it needs to be pointed out that using adhesive other than the one recommended on the website may not work! We used that one the first time, but this time tried to economise by buying a rival, generic brand. A false economy - it did not adhere to the coving at all, with the result that two pieces fell down within a few weeks and we are contemplating taking it all down and re-installing it with the "correct" adhesive. (Of course, there is the possibility that the "correct" adhesive won't stick either...) I would definitely order from Decorating Direct again, because they offer an excellent choice of coving and the non-plaster stuff is definitely easier to deal with than proper plaster, but I would pay more attention to what the different kinds are made of, and use the recommended adhesive.”
