“Service great and helmet is fine but photos don’t show that it’s a foam interior to the helmet so very warm and not very light. Less foam and a cage would be preferred.”

Hi Chris, thanks glad you liked the service & helmet. The liner is made from lightweight EPS foam, same as 99% of all other cycle helmets, we do state this in every product description. Our liners are slimmer than most, so this is the first time we've had someone expecting something different, but then we've not heard of cage liner so we will keep an eye out...

“This is my replacement helmet as my last was returned for recycling after 5 years of almost every day use. The helmet is lightweight and comfortable. The new version with the dial fitting is even better. It’s a stylish, comfortable and non-aggressive looking helmet for everyday cycling.”

“Excellent helmet. Very comfortable with good micro-adjustment and clearly well made. Love the more traditional style of this helmet which suits my style of bike. Also British made which I very much appreciate. Prior to purchase my correspondence with the company was great. I found the people I spoke with to be polite, helpful and enthusiastic about their product and service. They want to ensure you get the right helmet. Highly recommended.”

“We dislike standard bicycle helmets. Therefore we spent a long time searching for something special. Finally we found Dashel Helmets. We ordered two. One for me and one for my wife. They fit perfectly, and we really like them. Problems during ordering Prozess (it was not possible o enter destination address to Austria) were quickly solved via chat. Gerhard Radauer”

“Ordered online, delivered next day! Easy to fit after disengaging magnettic catch. Very comfortable, if slightly heavy. Instruction booklet difficult to follow as languages not grouped in one place, being listed in all languages in paragraphs. Very happy with helmet.”

“Excellent customer service. I was unsure of helmet size (I am on the border of medium and large), so I ordered a medium, which was delivered quickly. This proved too small (I suggest if you are on the upper border, you go for the next size up), but the return and delivery of the large size proved seamless, free and quick.”

“1. It's hip. You don't look one of those spandex clad dufi (plural for dufus) who don't take thier helmets off when they have a 6 quid cup of coffee. 2. It's from a great little company that seems to give a damn. 3. I really hate to wear a helmet, this one I will. Not particulary cheap but buy once, buy well.”

“I have just - literally - received my Dashel Ocean helmet. I would just like to express how thrilled I am with it. It is a work of art and fantastically engineered. As a former product designer, I am naturally drawn to how the fine details are dealt with. Everything about this helmet is executed to the highest standards and concern for finessed detailing. Additionally, I absolutely love the sustainability aspect of this helmet and the use of ghost net content in its construction. Ethically, I am impressed with your company ethos in owning something designed and manufactured in the UK exclusively by women. (Other manufacturers could take note!) Beyond these important factors, the fit is spot-on and the weight is barely noticeable. I absolutely love it. One extremely happy customer. Beyond any doubt - this is a five-star product.”

“After buying my wife a Dashel helmet a couple of years ago (she loves hers) I decided to get the Sea Shepherd edition. The helmet is a bit hot in warm weather and I was disappointed that the Sea Shepherd logo appears to be just a sticker (I would have bought a nicer colour and made the donation to SS myself if I'd have known this)”

Hi Graham, sorry you're not keen on the sticker, it is a weather-proof decal so made to last, but we get your point! We will be printing the next edition of Sea Shepherd helmets. We needed to start off small to test demand and prevent waste. The loop that you have on the back of your helmet was from a net that Sea Shepherd collected, so hopefully that makes it feel more special. Thanks so much for your support. Catherine
