“The problem I found with all the quotes was with the disparity of disbursements. They should all be the same price. Net fees I can understand being varied but not disbursements. A local search with one council should be the same for everyone using that council not sometimes triple the cost.”

“I did get a good price from one of the quotes. But it generated a LOT of spam emails in multiples from various companies I did not make contact with. On balance it was worth it, but a bit of a pain.”

“Whilst the response I had following my request was excellent I do have some concerns about the quality of some of the conveyancers listed. In order to gain some idea of their abilities I asked one specific question. 2 of the companies have been really helpful and it is likely I will be using one of them. The others did not respond directly to my question and continue to send me very general emails saying the same thing every time. One company could not even be bothered to address me correctly and called me Mr. When I complained I have had no response from them. I assume that you work on some sort of commission basis but this should not be at the risk of reputation to your own company.”

“As with all comparison websites, this one is a good starting point. However, another common feature is that you have to be very careful you're comparing like with like, that there are no hidden costs or omissions in the quote. In addition, it then opens you up, because you've given your contact details, to being bombarded with emails, texts and phone calls from any company you didn't engage, some more persistent and annoying than others.”

“To be honest, as a costing exercise, it's a waste of time. None of the quotes are like for like, The concept of a projected final amount is fairly alien, even when supplied with a lot of information about the purchase, and each number seems to be qualified with a maybe, or reserving the right to charge for something else at a later date. On the positive side, it gave me some names to work with, that I mightn't have otherwise found. and by the time I'd whittled away the firms with worrying reviews, there weren't many left to choose from.”

“on line conveyancing quotes were made available, and quickly.The website does not point out that only on line conveyancing companies are included. I could see no mention that traditional conveyancing solicitors are not included.”
