“Gave a good range of companies to choose from. The drawback is that the companies all then used the email I gave and bombarded my Inbox. Much better if the site gave the comparisons and contact details and left the contacting to the site user. I was put off as I felt that those running the site were not acting in my interests but in the interests of the companies.”

“Quick and relatively easy to use. Unfortunately, as seems always to happen with these services, my enquiry got the desired quotes but also lots and lots of follow-up emails -- so a lot of unneeded and unwanted mail to deal with. In the end I didn't use any of the firms that quoted through the site but it was useful to be able to compare prices and services.”

“Offered a range of costs but not necessarily able to do like for like comparison. Would be better to give the same details. Follow up correspondence from the companies were all at prices ABOVE the costs indicated on the initial quote.”

“Pricing was good and we selected a Conveyancer the same day. However I then received a week of repeated emails and calls from all the other conveyancers. In particular one company required four emails and 1 call before they stopped contacting me. In my opinion it should be up to the individual to decide on their quote and should not be contacted. I'm now awaiting the inevitable deluge of spam as my email address is sold ad nauseum......”

“Whole process was fine and the results appeared good. Although on inspection/ enquiry with some of the firms there were lots of hidden charges and extra fee's to be paid. It would have been better if this was clearer in search results. However, overall this was ok.”

“Only one complaint - some of the companies you recommend are still pestering me to accept their quote, when the whole thing was done and dusted a week ago. can you incorporate some sort of "I've chosen somebody - stop the process now please" button into your pages?”

“The website works reasonably well, but seems to attract the "pests" in terms of companies. I thought I'd get mostly companies based in Cornwall, but all of the half-a-dozen companies which 100s of miles away with the nearest branch office for one of the companies being more than 2 hours drive away. They were all a bit cheaper than the local high street solicitors, but one wonders how they can save money when most of them sent out 3 or more emails with one sending FIVE within a few hours. 2 companies phoned as well as emailed. You'll certainly get cheaper quotes if you're happy for your conveyancing to be done by phone and post - if you're looking for local where you can get to the office to sign documents, etc. then it doesn't work.”

“Conveyancing solicitors are still not being transparent regarding their charges. They should not say that there will not be additional costs to add later on when clearly there will be. According to some of the reviews online there are some doing conveyancing who really shouldn't be. I wound up not using any of the ones who quoted on this site.”

“Good points: Very easy to get a quote, and it helps that they are in the same format (but see below) Not so good: Only a limited number (5) firms quote for the job. If you come back and ask for another quote a few days later, the prices go up and down, so it's worth getting a couple of quotes a couple of weeks apart. Read the small print and ask questions, as there are sometimes hidden charges. Also, when I contacted some of the firms, they were very unprofessional and did not engender confidence.”
