“Coach arrived over 1 hour late - result was 53 eighteen year olds waiting near house entrance - initial chasing phone call resulted in being told "there in 10 minutes". Sought an explanation by email a week ago - no reply from the company. Ian James 12662 - 1st July - Knutsford”

Dear Ian, I have checked all the emails and I do not seem to be able to find any correspondence from you. it appears your coach was parked up in an area suitable for coaches waiting for a call. when the call came it took the driver 10 minutes to come to the pick up point. We are very sorry there was a communication breakdown and you group had to wait. it was believed your group was going to call when ready

“Very unreliable, we booked our coach and paid deposit, then they cancelled in short notice and asked for more money as happens in 3rd world country. No accountability, no reliability and most importantly NOT TRUSTWORTHY.”

This customer booked a coach and paid a deposit. The sales handler immediately realised she had selected 16 seat instead of 53 seat coach in error and advised the customer as soon as she spotted the mistake. The difference in cost was £500 as it was a long distance journey London to Leeds The customer accepts the revised price was very similar to other quotes he received but still wanted to pay the minibus price. Clearly this was not possible. We explained this to the customer but he announced if we did not honour his original price he would blacken our name on social media. This review should be removed as unfair and slanderous I have asked Reviews .co.uk to do this.

“I booked Coach hire 4 u as long ago as this January, for a weekend in November, to take a party of 55 choral singers, many fairly elderly and a few disabled, from Crawley in Sussex to Norwich via Bury St Edmunds,. I had a few misgivings about using a company based in distant Luton, but they assured me this wouldn’t be a problem, and on the basis of their very cheap price, I agreed to use them. Three weeks before the due date I notified them by email and phone that the collection point was changed by one mile, and the time by one hour. I repeated this in several messages, as I was a little concerned that they might have overlooked it, but they confirmed that the revised arrangements had been passed to their subcontractor. I then had great difficulty in obtaining the name and contact details of that company, and only received it a few hours before our actual departure. In the event, the coach was sent to the wrong address and was more than an hour late, as I had feared, meaning that 55 people were left standing around in the cold, though fortunately not the wet, for 75 minutes, that we were unable to stop en route, that the coach lacked the promised toilet, and that we finally arrived at our venue nearly two hours late, and without lunch or a toilet stop. As we then had to give our concert only 30 minutes after arrival, our party were very uncomfortable and extremely dissatisfied. I naturally raised these concerns with the company on our return, expecting a full apology, explanation of what had gone wrong, and the offer of a partial refund by way of compensation. More than a whole month later, despite my writing and emailing on four occasions, all I have had is a half-apology, no explanation, but blame heaped on the subcontracting company, rather than their own systems. I am convinced that they are hoping our members and I will get fed up with waiting for them to deal with the matter properly, and forget all about our grievance. Any company or individual can make a mistake, although they should have proper systems to prevent this happening, but their failure to respond properly and promptly to our justifiable complaint for a period of several weeks is grossly discourteous and very poor business practice. I’m giving this review two stars, rather than just one, but only because the driver employed by the subcontracted company gave us an excellent service, when he finally arrived, and his late arrival certainly wasn’t his fault.”

“Can't complain. Getting a quote was easy and they came back the cheapest. Booking and payment was pretty easy too. The day before I received a text and email to confirm the details and on the night the driver was on time so it was a good service. Thank you.”

“After being let down by a previous coach company I found Coachhire4U online. Right from the beginning of the booking they were second to none. Everyone I spoke to was polite and helpful, they understood that we are a charity and we had to get payments in before we could send the deposit and nothing was any bother. The week before they confirmed details and receipt of payment, then the before each part of the trip I received a text and an email confirming details again including the drivers phone number and the phone number for the Duty Manager. On the day of the outward journey the coach arrived ahead of schedule so was there ready when the Guides started to arrive. The driver was polite and helpful and the coach was a pristine. On the inbound journey, I was kept informed that the driver was caught in traffic and again when the coach arrived it was pristine again with a lovely helpful and friendly driver. I thoroughly recommend this company to any group large or small, nothing is too much trouble and if they can help they will.”

“I wish I could give a higher mark than 5 Stars, they were EXCELLENT!! From my very first point of contact with Val, who took me through the booking process smoothly and very professionally and then on to the driver Lester, who was fantastic. He knew where to go and was extremely friendly and good fun. A group of 40+ of us went into London to a Medieval Banquet event and we had somebody drop out at the last minute so we offered the place to Lester who (didn't drink but) joined in as though he was part of the group. Much fun was had by all and Lester just became a part of our party by the end of the evening. If you are ever looking for a coach company to get you to / from your destination then you will not find nicer people nor will you find better coaches, AMAZIING service and superb prices, thank you. “They are brilliant! We hired CoachHire4u.com for a very demanding national, 8 day campaign tour with 33 stops and a 1700 mile itinerary. The coach was given a complete wrap in campaign livery which was arranged by the company with a partner firm. They did such a good job and that the Daily Express attributed it to George Soros' money. “I booked a coach to take 50 ish parents across town the the O2 to watch their young ones sing. I plucked this number off of google and it was such a pleasure to deal with this company start to end! Right from my initial enquiry, through booking Val in their office made everything so easy, answered all my queries promptly and sent me all the details so clearly. The coach turned up at the right time, it was very clean and comfortable and the driver was truly delightful and could not have been more helpful. He dropped us off at the most convenient place then went off to park, stayed in text contact with me then came on foot at the end of the concert to make sure we all made it back to the coach. If I ever find myself having to book coaches again I will use them again in a heartbeat!”
