An award-winning small British business, we focus on designing luxury dog beds and blankets that are cosy, stylish and practical, and made to perform over time. Comfort for our canine customers is paramount, as is styling for our human customers, and we design to a mantra of ‘machine washable everything’. “I’ve bought quite a lot of things from Charlie Chau including rattan beds and mattresses and would highly recommend. I also get my dog collars and house collars. Everything is top quality and the service they give is excellent.”

“Absolutely beautiful luxe fabric and very plump ! My mistake is that I ordered the large going by picture on website and is too small for my Rhodesian Ridgeback, I wish there was an extra large but I am returning these due to size . But v impressed with fabric and construction .”

“I had been pondering purchasing a Charlie Chau for months but having a house full of failed what seemed at the time perfect dog beds Woody was only happy in our Kingsize bed causing much sleep deprivation for us. Not anymore he loves his new bed so easy to get in and out and fantastic quality arriving in just a few days. Finaly we are all sleeping peacefully Thankyou Charley Chau”

“Everything I’ve bought so far has been of such high quality. The bliss booster bed - amazing! quite possibly the best dog bed ever made, the faux fur blanket - my dog loves this too! (and washes well) - and the double fleece blankets asp great. So happy I found Charley Chau.”

“I discovered Charley Chau 8 years ago for my 4 dogs who always tried to cover themselves over with a blanket at night. Now they snuggle in their own doggie envelope and have never been happier. I have just renewed the bed liners and cushions after 8 years of wonderful service.”

“Speedy delivery & quality product but not for my jackchi. Not enough gap between cushion base & cover for him to work out how to get in plus top of cushion quite high. Returning expensive but quick refund (excluding cost of returning)”

Hi Gillian, We're sorry the Snuggle Bed wasn't a hit with your dog. Some dogs need a little encouragement and training if they do not understand how a Snuggle Bed works whichh is why we recommend using a tasty treat to train them. Make sure your dog sees that you have a treat they really, really love and then place a small piece under the cover right at the front. Once the dog has retrieved the treat, place another one in a similar position. Repeat this a few times in a similar position and then start to move the treats further in. Dogs soon work out thay they can climb inside the Snuggle Bed. Although the cover looks snug on the mattress, the design of the Snuggle Bed means that the mattress flexes when a dog gets into the bed so that the height underneath increases making it very easy for a dog to get inside. “Fabric in beautiful colours and with a subtle texture which is lovely. Brought in a large for our pointer. She loves it! I chose this bed because it has a washable cover and a waterproof one beneath, meaning the mattress stays clean and fresh. Our previous Charley Chau mattress lasted for 8 years, unlike a cheaper one I brought, which went lumpy and flat very quickly.”

“Whippet Joey is very happy with his new bed, though he still stands outside it occasionally waiting for me to lift the top cover for him to climb into it. The materials it is made of are good and hoover easily. From the housekeeping point of view, however, it is a struggle for me to turn the bed inside out every day to hoover it properly. I haven't yet had cause to wash the cover, so cannot comment on how well the cover washes. Also, the mattress does not retain its shape well and is already quite flattened in the centre despite the fact I shake it well most days. I mention these facts as I hope it will be useful for you to know this.”
