“I spent £92 on plants in August, all but 1 arrived severly pot bound. All planted ,watered and cared for. All still alive but only 1 shows signs of growth.response from company " It is dormant growth time.?? Very poor customer relations. Silly me I should have read trust pilate reviews.”

“Purchased 24 strawberry root plants and within a week 10 plants appear to have died, ie no trace of them on the surface unlike 14 that developed leaves.
Followed instructions re soaking and planting but unless they pop up in the Spring and surprise me I would not recommend to others.

“I ordered a Coral Anniversary Rose & the flowers on the Rose that was delivered was noting like the photograph of the one I ordered. I have informed Carbeth but (as yet) have heard nothing. very disappointing.”
“Placed an order for an anniversary present , delivery to my son's address.
When order was processed delivery was changed to my address. immediately made contact on their email as asked and pointed out error thought that would be sorted how wrong I was.
After 3 mails eventually got a response saying mails hadn't been checked as they were busy and item was coming to me, told me it was up to me to get address changed with courier, that was bad enough but it was also not possible
Another three mails , two of which were unanswered and 5 days later the plant arrived with me.
I then had to deliver it the 130 miles to my son's address.
Zero customer service and extended delivery time by their courier .

“I ordered a super trouper bush rose but I’m certain that the wrong rose was delivered. When I queried the order I was told I had to wait until it flowered next year before they would replace it as that is the only way they can distinguish what type of rose it was.”
“It was as an horrible purchase. First of all it took ages to get it after ordering it. No updates even though it got delayed. When I emailed to track the product, they informed that it may take longer to deliver. When opened the packing after receiving, it was half dead and in one week the whole plan got spoiled. I am very sorry to write this but I have to, because it upset me a lot.”
“I received a plant which looks nothing like the picture displayed on the sellers site, nor is there information advising this would be the case. Rather than a small plant with numerous shoots, I got one long rooted stem which is a cutting. It looks ridiculous and not suitable for my rockery. I explained this to the seller but they were not interested. Got refunded after contacting PayPal.”
“Unfortunately this time Carbeths service was appalling. I had ordered a plant on behalf of an elderly relative who isn’t tech savvy, she wanted a gift for a friend’s 85 th Birthday. The plant arrived without a care label & so dry that it wouldn’t stand up. Over the next couple of days the plant dropped half of its leaves. Carbeth didn’t seem to understand that this was a gift & should have arrived looking like a gift not a stressed out plant! They seemed uninterested in sending a replacement so we returned the plant , they wouldn’t even pay for the return! The whole episode really upset my elderly relative who couldn’t understand why their customer service was so poor.
I won t be ordering from them again. I ve never had such a poor service from a nursery and I’m a professional gardener so have had a lot of experience with nurseries .”

One plant sent was NOT the Tradescantia Zebrina I ordered!!!
Photos proving this have been totally ignored and subsequent emails not responded to.”
“I have ordered from you 3 plants off Amazon a Tayberry, Long berry and a Fig tree brown turkey, on the Amazon app it says you are delivering today, no time when delivery is going to be and no other updates, I am now getting worried, my order was placed on the 22/08/2025.”
“I ordered 2 phlox plants which arrived with just 1 thin stem each and some broken bits, with dead leaves. Absolutely not worth £9.99 each. Will probably go in the bin. No response from customer services as yet. Will not use this company again. I have better phlox growing in my garden now!”
