Immerse Education is a two-week residential academic programme with a diverse and enriching curriculum, designed for 13-18-year-old students – providing a taster of what it’s like to study a subject at university level. Academic and Career sessions are carefully designed and taught by expert tutors in an optimal learning environment that stimulates academic enquiry. Our carefully planned schedule ensures that the programme not only exceeds the academic needs of the participants but also provides a unique experience of the university city through an abundance of extracurricular activities.

“Immerse was such a great experience to know what college life is about. The talks, they showed us how it was like to live in a real university and sharing their experiences with us was really great. The activities were perfect, all the activities were really fun to have, I really enjoyed cake and canvas, and the talent show. The classes were great! I really learnt a lot this summer, a lot of thing that I even never knew they existed! This is by far the best summer I've ever had!”

“The ten days I spent in Immerse program were tremendously wonderful. Never had I had such a great opportunity to gain exposure to the superior atmosphere in Cambridge before attending the program. Not only could you learn about the cutting-edge technologies or discoveries in different subjects,but you would also make some great friends from all over the world. Besides,the activities organized by mentors like punting,sport day and talent show were of great fun. This is absolutely a once-a-lifetime experience.”

“Cambridge immerse 2019 has by far been the best experience of my life. It has provided me with a greater knowledge of life at university, tips and tricks on how to get in and a much more extensive knowledge and passion for the course I chose, Medicine. Every moment spent at immerse was a moment well spent. Some of my favourite memories include kayaking, self-punting, krashball and spending time with the other participants and mentors at lunch or at night. Every class was one I looked forward to and helped me so much in discovering my passions. I really enjoyed the classes where we were able to apply our knowledge such as in dissection. Overall, Cambridge immerse has helped me grow as an academic and individual. It is definitely an experience that I will never forget.”

“My two weeks at Immerse completely changed my life. Not only did I evolve and learn a lot about my subject, but I have met people from all over the world who I will never forget. My tutor was amazing, the mentors were incredibly nice, and the friends I made are now a huge part of my life. The whole feeling of being in Cambridge was so special, and I enjoyed every second of it. I was excited for my time at Immerse, but could have never imagined how much I would come to gain from it.”

“I love the whole Immerse experience! This course has undoubtedly allowed me to grasp a greater comprehension of coding Python and using our current knowledge in real-life applications (programming an obstacle-avoidance Pi2Go robot). By meeting new people of all kindred, race and nation from different parts of the world, this place has expanded my horizons and made me more open-minded to other people's opinions, thoughts and ways of life. Filled with countless of joyful memories, I find it hard to pick the best of the best, but after giving some thought, I think punting, Sports Day (Krashball, Frisbee, etc.), the Talent Show and even just hanging out with my friends, definitely stand out the most.”

“Immerse has been such a valuable experience of my life. I've been able to meet so many diverse people from all over the world who came together with the same ambitions and future goals. Immerse has helped me appreciate my passion for medicine on a larger scale and provide insight to many aspects of medicine. It has also given me opportunities to be a part of many activities that I have enjoyed a lot. Our medicine classes were incredibly enjoyable with the interesting content we learned and practicals we performed. The other students I met here were also incredibly supportive and friendly and I'll probably be in contact with them for many years to come. I've made so many memories with my friends during fun activities like krashball, the talent show, and punting. I've also made memories in the simple moments of us just sitting together as a group. There are so many moments in these 2 weeks that I'll always remember and I truly appreciate the Immerse team for providing this opportunity to helping us all have an amazing time that we'll remember forever. I'll always think of Cambridge as my home as I grew attached to the whole place in these 2 weeks.”

“What I liked most about immerse is that it prepares students for the future, which was exactly what it did to me. I came to immerse for the experience, and it was phenomenal. I loved the talent show, and most of the activities. However, more sport should be included in the programme. That is basically the only thing that is missing.In general, immerse helped me a lot, and gave me the exposure.”

“I do not have a particular memory that I consider my favourite. That is, because it was all the small details during the entirety of my trip that added up to a fantastic experience. I loved the mentors’ attitudes, the beautiful colleges, the amazing tours, the fantastic food, the company of my mates, and so much more. If I had to pick one memory, then it would be when me and three other mentees went punting by ourselves. We started off well by smacking into a bunch of tourists in a nearby boat. After that was a discombobulating trip with our boat spinning in circles and crashing into others as if we played bumper cars. I just found the whole situation funny, with us not being able to steer a boat and the mindlessness that came with it compared to the academic work we had. Immerse has helped me to get a better understanding of what college life actually could look like in Cambridge. Immerse has also given me a broader network with positive and amazing students from all over the world. My favourite activities were everything sport related. It showed that further education is not only about your textbooks, but physical and mental health plays a big role in it as well. I loved playing rugby with rugby players from the different colleges and some really talented mentees as well. Something else that I really enjoyed was Immerse has talent. It showcased a bunch on talented people from different cultural backgrounds, which I think was really great. I performed gymnastics and it was a total blast even though I had never done it before. And the support from the audience was impeccable. I cannot recommend Immerse enough if you consider further education at Cambridge. And if you decide to go I congratulate you for choosing a truly awesome experience.”

“I really felt like I learned so much throughout these past 2 weeks here at immerse. People here are so easy to talk to and I’ve made so many friends that I’m going to miss when we all return to different parts of the world. Immerse provides all of us with countless interesting activities to do which was great for the weekend and evenings. I feel like I really have a much clearer idea of what I want to do in the future and I’ve learned so much about the university experience too and that is all thanks to Immerse and this program. My favourite lesson was definitely the 2 hour long dissection where we EACH got a thorax, liver, heart and half a head of a lamb to dissect! I’ve made so many memories at this camp, and self-punting is something that I will definitely remember for the rest of my life along with all the people that I’ve met here. I’ll definitely come back at some point!!”

“In the first week of Immerse, it is understandable to want everything to be packed together and everyone to be participating. That resulted in me feeling very tired by the end of the weekend, but the excitement and laughter I'd share with my newfound friends were worth it. Immerse has helped me to be way more confident and certain in the course I took and I think my confidence in general. I love the part where there were days you get to choose what to do and it was very fun to talk and discuss this with my friends. The free time during lunch was a very perfect time slot. Cambridge is a very beautiful and easy-to-navigate town and I'm glad I got to explore it and hope I will again in the future.”

“Going in to Immerse summer programme I didn’t know what to expect. I was a bit nervous and I was constantly asking myself was I good enough and will I fit in. From the very first moment of my programme our Immerse mentors made us feel like one big family. Teachers of our chosen subjects were very inspiring and helped us with anything we needed along the way . This was an incredible and unforgettable experience . Best two weeks of my life”
