“Easy to locate items required, kept informed of order/delivery. Even though we were out the delivery man identified a good place to deliver (brick shed around the side of the house) and left a note. Good service overall.”

“i telephoned for advice on polycarbonate sheets and fixings and spoke to a gentleman who could not be more helpfull i ordered some sheet accessories and could not beleive as to how quick i received my order from kent to the very far north of scotland in 22 hrs `must be a record? i would have no hesitation in recomending this company to anyone i have purchased from this company in the past with the same excellent service ps please try and bring your very high carriage charges down to scottish highlands”

“ordered a sample of plastic roof sheeting,which arrived in quick time. having handled the sample i now have a good idea of how strong the material is. doing it this way has been the best way of finding out about the sheeting.”

“Very bad service, bought some guttering, qualified for £15 discount, started to load up and I noticed some of the fittings were wrong. Went back inside for exchange and they said I lost my £15 discount, even though it was there fault. I was very disappointed. I will complain to head office and try and get my money back.Bad experience.”

Dear Sir We have looked into this case and it appears that this stems from an change of downpipe from square (which is the standard with Ogee guttering) to round downpipe. The procedures the member of staff followed were for an item return. In your case you had not left the property and the member of staff should have canceled the entire order (to include all products) and put it on again from the beginning, this would have prevented you from losing £4.60 of your £15 discount (you still received £10.40 of it). The member of staff has been identified and they will be subjected to retraining for this type of circumstance. “Ordered Corrugated sheet eaves fillers on Monday and they were delivered on Wednesday. I was kept informed regarding the delivery of my purchase at every stage. First class service will use C & A again.”

Hi, Thanks for the review I see that all you have written is 'product quality' but we are not sure what is meant by this two word statement. I see you have ordered the black square-line guttering and pipe, feedback is always appreciated and the manufacturers also appreciate it when we pass it up the line so they can continually improve their product offering. “Everything in stock. Arrived on the day they told me after a phone call a few days earlier. Very nice driver, unloaded exactly where I wanted. Everything seems to be in order.. Fitted the Small porch canopy straight away. looks great. Pleased with the price and most of all the range and quality available.”

“They didn't, because our order was wrong. They sent 6 of one item and 5 of another where it should have been 5 off and 5 off. Unfortunately my partner was very sick at the time of delivery and with all due respect he didn't check it properly. Only when he was ready to start and use the items he found the delivery was wrong, he had to order another piece to rectify but you charged him £25.00 for delivery on a piece that cost £5.00 something. I am discussed that this happened but he had no alternative as he had to have the piece and you would not waver anything. We would appreciate your comments”

Hi Thank you for the feedback, I think you may have been a little confused when writing this as the way it is written says we delivered 1 extra item (6 instead of 5) but the notes on the system claims that 1 item is short. The original order where the shortage is claimed to have happened has been on site for 4 months before you contacted us and we have no idea what has happened to the products on site during this time. It is an unfortunate state of affairs that some unscrupulous people out there will, damage / lose products on site and then try to claim they were never delivered in the first place (and some builders would often do this just to get free materials for other jobs). Because of this it is common in companies to have a period for you to check your order you receive (many only accept it to be at the instant the delivery is made). It is unfortunate that a few bad eggs force companies to have these policies, but they are their to protect everyone and stop the cost of products from being inflated to cover false claims (we don't believe honest people should pay for those who are dishonest). Because it is impossible for us to prove what does and does not happen when it is in the customers care we do have to set a time limit for notification and this applies to everyone. It does mean on a rare occasion a genuine claim is denied but there is no way to definitively prove one is genuine while the other is fictional ( and those who lie about it being missing would make up any story they think would get free material issued). I hope this helps with why companies have such policies in place. Yours C & A Building Plastics
