“Very unsatisfactory experience so far. We approached British Homesellers to sell our flat in North London quickly, our flat had been on the market for 3 months with another agent so we switched to the Homesellers, given we wanted a quick sale.
Two months later, we have had 2 viewings, 1 offer but no sale. To their credit, they did manage to find us a buyer but 5 weeks after the offer had been accepted, no solitcitor instructed and no progress made.
I do appreciate that this is not the Homesellers fault but our previous estate agent were getting a lot more viewings in. We have had 1 viewing in 2 months!
I don't know what they are doing to sell our property - I think all that has been done is the flat has been listed on Rightmove and they have walked away from it!
No floorplan done, I messaged them to rotate the pictures and drop the asking price to try and generate more interest - no progress made.
There is nothing quick at all about the sale and I don't have much hope they will ever sell our property. They are slow to respond to queries and not easy to get a hold of either, we just feel ignored.
All round - a poor performance”

You are right to highlight this is taking longer than expected. Although the majority of properties we take on sell within 30 days, in this case we are falling short and we are going to do everything possible to fix this.
As discussed we have now included a floorplan for our buyers to study and are employing strategies to kick-start this for you. Our goal as agreed is to get this resolved asap :)

When we decided to go with them, the company had photos taken and the listing live less than a day later.

“From the advisory consultation and signing the agreement of sale with Robert Love from British Home Buyers the process was personalized to my requirements.
I was advised every step of the way.
I decided the marketing price.
I was appointed a representative to help assist and advice to the legal requirements required and there completion. This could be followed through every documented on the PowerPoint app. Eli was excellent at this.
When a complication arose due to my property being tenented and a six month delay had to be added into the sale process, this was treated with discretion, expertise, experiance and most of all patience. Neither I or the purchaser were forgotten at this stage, we were kept in the loop, updated and advices at all times.
Also when the convayancing solicitors had an attempt hacking near to completion and communication had broken down at that crucial time, BHB stepped up with advicer Charles to co ordinate and liaise between all concerned until the exchange, ensuring our financial confidentiality and peace of mind.
I am most grateful to the team for securing the sale of my property and I had no hesitation to pay the fee on completion December 2021 after the process had taken nine months in total I felt they had earnt it.

“Acting on an advertising letter from British Home Buyers I agreed with them a 30-day exclusivity period for two properties as they promised they had a database with buyers ready to buy. They procured not a single viewing. After the end of that period they offered to sell at a discount which when we spoke first was said to be circa 15% of the asking price. When I asked for that route to be explored the valuation that was put forward was more in the order of a 30-35% discount to the value BHB had themselves advised originally the property should be and were actually marketed at. To add more colour to the experience, they valued one of the properties - a one bed flat - at a higher price than the other which is a two-bed flat. The smaller flat they valued at more than £100k more than the larger! When I questioned it they double-checked and confirmed the figures to me in writing. They explained that because they dealt with investors the valuation was predominantly based on rental value and that of the smaller flat was higher than the larger. Later when we started to go down the discount route they admitted their valuation mistake but, again, only when I raised the point once more and when their valuers provided a discount valuation. If that is not all that could be done wrong, after I terminated their services, unbeknown to me and despite a specific promise, BHB kept the properties on their advertising channels at the previously advertised prices. When I put the properties back on the market at a lower price (of course not as low as their 30% discounted rate) with another agent the concurrent advertisings at best confused potential buyers and created the impression that my sales process was all over the place. I am not sure what else they could get wrong...”
