“Although Ed was as outstanding as ever and I can't praise him highly enough, I did feel that he was let down a bit by the Blue Hat prep. The lyric sheets were a bit of a mess - printed on both sides with songs mixed. up and only a few copies. Then Ed couldn't get in to the Blue Hat laptop as the password didn't work. It didn't help that there were a number of crashes on the M25 so Ed was late arriving (no ones fault) but that on top of the technical issues meant he was always struggling to play catch up. The teams didn't have the tablets with the songs on to rehearse until far too late to be any use, and then the tracks used for the performances were too dissimilar to the rehearsal tracks so that was quite disappointing.
We asked for make up and fancy dress accessories - and whilst some were supplied quite a lot were not appropriate for a karaoke session to be lots of panto, costumes etc - we need ed more rock, pop, punk wigs, sunglasses etc.
So overall the event was a success but down to the determination of the guests to have fun and Eds energy and enthusiasm but it was hindered rather than helped by the Blue Hat elements I think.”
“The event was well run by enthusiastic and well trained staff, however for us this particular event lacked a competition element between the teams.
It became apparent within minutes that the whole business would need to work together, which although there were obviously some benefits to this did not meet the brief for us.
Very satisfying end when it all came together though.”
“Initial interaction good, a lot of promise, but too much familiarity with course participants and not taking the task seriously enough brought down the game of Apprentice & the other.”
