About Billingham:

Billingham are a family owned company, manufacturing camera bags for the world’s photographers since 1973 alongside a range of leisure and laptop bags. All bags are made in the West Midlands area of England, a region famous for manufacturing. A core reason for Billingham’s longevity is the fact that from the start, the Billingham family were determined that their products would always be made to the very highest standards from the best available materials to provide high levels of protection for their valued contents.

A notable feature of Billingham camera bags is that they are made from a distincive 3-layer waterpoof canvas that never needs reproofing. They also feature genuine top grain leather and solid brass details.

“I was very pleased with service I received. However the replacement clogball which you provided is large for this size of bag. It does the job but it's much larger than the original. It does not easily pass through the hole on the strap.”

“Great all round travel bag. Would be great if there was an optional interior for when the foam liner is removed and the bag used purely for travel, with a zipper on one internal side and pockets on the other, attached to the press studs. Similar to the Billingham briefcase, to allow documents to be kept safe.”

“I actually wanted a laptop bag that could double as a photography bag if required. Having a 16’ MacBook the Eventer Mk2 was to small. In the end I opted for the Hadley Pro Large. It’s overkill for the main purpose. The laptop is reasonably well padded in the bag although it must be said that there is no padding in the base. My main issue is that you have to unfasten the buckles to open rather than the top handle and there is no zip protection for the main compartment. Again this is based on my intended purpose for a laptop. As a photography bag it is very good, accommodating a full frame DSLR with 2.8 24-70 lens and 70-200. Both front pockets volume can be reduced with by a press stud fastener and easily takes a SB900 flash head. The quality of materials is as expected for a Billingham which is excellent. Purchased direct in sage, the bag has had a fair bit of use now as laptop/photography and an overnight bag with the insert removed. I would of liked the main compartment to have a zip closure to prevent ingress of sand/dust or keep content hidden from bystanders say at a wedding event like some of the other models. In the end the bag is trying to fulfil a large remit and on the whole it does this very well.”

“I use my Hadley Pro for carrying a couple of spare lenses or take out the insert and drop in my D5 and 24-70. It’s comfortable to sling over your shoulder all day and reasonably unobtrusive. I use it daily and the quality is excellent”

“The bag is excellent *I have 3 other Billingham bags(. It is a REAL SHAME that it doesn't come with a strap to attach to roller bags as the larger bag does. This is, for me at least, a major disadvantage.”

“Billingham bags and inserts are undoubtedly the best, expensive yes but I have two Hadley bags both vintage and both still perfectly serving their purpose. Recently I ordered new inserts for both, excellent products delivered in good time.”

“I bought Galbin Binocular case for my new Swarovski binoculars. It fits very well. The bag is very well made nad looks great. I'm very happy with it. Maybe they could make it little bit bigger or make a small outside pocket where I could keep a cleaning kit. I bought a shoulder pad as well...I'm definitely satisfied with the quality of the product and with the look too. But I think it should not sell it separately. It should be a part of the bag automatically, there are no 2 or 3 different choices. And everyone wants to carry that bag comfortably. So why do you sell it separately? Otherwise I'm happy with Billingham and I plan to buy some other products from them.”

“Bellingham bags are always good quality and nice to look at I choose navy blue but was disappointed with the shades of blue the actual product delivered. I wish I could sent back and exchanged for all black or olive green but being in Taiwan makes this effort difficult and troublesome”

“Rather expensive but then how many other bags bought in the early 1990s are still serviceable today, with a full range of spares still available? I have four, a Hadley original upgraded with a new insert, a 335, a 550 just upgraded with new inserts and a Billingham Venture Gear 380 and it's a shame that this economy range has been discontinued”
